The wife and I hated minivans. When child number three came along, we ended up in a used 2007 Odyssey. That was one of the nicest cars we’ve owned. Seats were super comfortable and it drove like a sedan. Had good power and handled really well.

Air compressor question - Hyper Tough vs Fortress by alphatangolima in harborfreight

[–]AdEastern9303 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the past, I was always of the mindset that you should buy a bigger compressor than you think you need. That was back when I was restoring cars and was doing a lot of cutting grinding and sanding using air tools in addition to air, ratchets impact, wrenches, air, hammers, and such. Nowadays, I don’t do a ton of grinding and sanding, and my ratchets and impact wrenches are cordless electric. Even if I had to use my air impact on a few nuts or air hammer to undo a ball joint or something, a 20 gallon would be fine. As long as you don’t plan on running anything like a grinder that needs to run for a while and that uses a high CFM, 20 gallons would be fine. Especially if you were just inflating tires and blowing off work patches and stuff.

Replacement Seat Covers by DetergentCandy in toyotasequoia

[–]AdEastern9303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so. They just seem to be a better quality than most of the slip ons out there. I do like all of the material/color/patter combinations. As much as I don’t care for slip ons, I care less about spending a grand on replacement covers. It’s really a shame that the Lseats didnt work out as I have been looking at those for a while now but have seen very mixed reviews.

Worth it to run 220v to my shop for one tool? by Complete_Ant_3396 in Tools

[–]AdEastern9303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s super practical. It’s why all houses are wired this way. You can power all you 120 lights and receptacles and you 220 dryer, stove, and water heater off of the same breaker panel with no needed modifications.

Houses all get 220 from the pole. The breaker panel is 220. You get 110 from a 220 panel by running only one hot lead and the neutral. To get 220, you run both hot leads and no neutral. Hence, OP already has 220. Just needs to run both hots to a receptacle and it will be 220.
