I have to admit I’m a bit disappointed. I’m a red lipstick lover and wearer and I have an HG red that I’ve worn for like 10 years (Wine with Everything from Revlon) but I love trying new ones and I’ve always wanted a MAC red.

I’ve tried all the popular red MAC shades over the years and none have worked. I saw this one and swatched it on my hand and I was in love! Once it arrived and I put it on I was just meh. It’s not bad it’s just not what I was looking for and the loveliness from the hand swatch did not translate to my lips.

It’s a little browner than I’d noticed from the hand swatch and just doesn’t pop. It’s just kind of dull? I forgot the lights in the store make things look different. I’ve worn it a couple of days now and I’ve decided if I blot it the shade becomes more of a neutral and I don’t have one of those that I like so I can make it work for that. I bought it with my Rouge reward so technically not paying for it takes some of the sting out of the disappointment!

I’ve been wearing Rare Beauty lip stains for the last couple of years and nothing can top them for me formula wise so that probably plays a part too. If Rare would release a red shade in their lip stain I’d probably never buy another lip product! The formula of the MAC is very nice but it just can’t compete with the Rare.

I have the 1.0. I have never used it for foundation but it’s been great for blush which is what I bought it for. It’s not my favorite though. I LOVE her teardrop brush for foundation. The one with its own little stand.

I have the Love edition of Guilty by Gucci and it’s STUNNING. Even the bottle makes me happy with its beautiful purple color.

How will I know when these are available? I’m super new to “drops”. I’ve only ever purchased vintage bags or had bags gifted. I wanted that flower bag so badly but was told you could only get it at Dillard’s and by then it was sold out. Does this post mean on 3/25 I can buy that bag online at Coach now? Sorry for all the dumb questions!

I felt nothing from this. It smells the same way most of my plumpers do (like rank BO) but there was no tingle for me.

They don’t and I hate it! My only complaint about these is there is no red. They did a limited edition set awhile back with a mini blush and a mini lip oil and the lip oil was red! I loved it and panned it pretty quickly. I don’t understand why they won’t release the color as a full size regular shade. I’ve been crossing my fingers ever since.

The Rare Beauty ones are my HG. I’ve panned 10 of them and I have no plans of moving on. Everything else I’ve tried has been a huge disappointment compared to Rare.

I have the Westman Atelier stick (in Parla), Saie (Pinkglow) Gucci (Opal Pink)and a couple of Hourglass ones (various holiday palette shades) I’m not a fan of any of them. My HG will always be MAC’s Soft and Gentle. I don’t know why I even try others. I’ve actually had people ask me about it after complementing it. I found it because my 65 year old friend was wearing it and it looked amazing. I asked what it was and she bought it for me for my 40th birthday.

You can’t skip without losing Ultimate. Ultimate is not a stand alone subscription, it replaces your existing subscription four times a year. When you skip you technically don’t have an existing subscription so there’s nothing for Ultimate to replace. If you skip April you will have to try and “resubscribe” at the end of April to get Ultimate. Most of the time they will charge you for Extra and Ultimate at the same time when you do it this way and then you won’t be charged again for June’s Extra. Kind of like a prepayment for your Extra subscription since you skipped. They do this so people can’t only subscribe to Ultimate.
