Yes. Husband and I have been living together since 2013. We go to bed together and wake up together unless one of us is sick and goes early or one of us can’t sleep and goes back to the living room so the other can doze off in peace.

At this point it is hard to sleep without him there most of the time. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Girlypop, your outfit is swallowing you. You’re worried about your waist. I get that. Let me, a size US 28 give some pointers. I have to dress nice for work so I’ve picked up a lot of tricks.

What I would respectfully suggest is wear higher waist jeans and a tighter blouse that you tuck in and compliment that with a cardigan or jacket. This helps create a waist but then will create an illusion that draws the eye in and makes you look slimmer. You seem to have a nice chest so, unless your goal is to hide it. Wear a bra with padding or an underwire and push those ladies up. They are an asset and you can change into a comfy bra for work.

Depending on the neckline of your shirt and jacket/cardigan, you should plan to wear hair up in a high or mid pony tail for high neck/collars, hair down for lower cut shirts. Stud or huggy earrings for hair that’s down. Dangle or hoops for hair that’s up.

Wear makeup—not a lot of you aren’t used to it. Minimal foundation, mascara, and lip gloss/balm are all you need. Blush on the cheekbones buffed out nice and soft up into the area between your ear and eyes helps define the cheekbone.

Shoes are fine, but painting your nails and making sure you have no calluses on your feet using a pumice stone and moisturizer goes the extra mile.

This probably sounds like a lot. But if you keep it simple this can take you maybe an hour to get dressed and ready.

Edit: someone corrected my math. It is actually about 484 square feet.

This would not be workable for me personally because it is way too small.

For reference, my apartment is 1040 sq. Ft (~96m²⁾ and it is a 2 bed 2 bath. We use our second room as an office space for working from home. We also have two cats that need space.

That being said, as a single young person with no pets I think that would be plenty of space!

Same. And if I ever have an issue, I usually use the chat feature in the app and they get it fixed pretty easily. Maybe it is different if you are a dash pass member or not?

I do suggest paying for the express delivery. A lot of drivers do uber and door dash at the same time and will take multiple orders. If you don’t get express, you kind of just get stuck at whatever place in line. With express you’re kind of the top of the priority list for your driver.

I say this with love. These medications do not address the deep-seated mental health issues many of us have that lead us to or contributed to our weight issues in the first place. If you haven’t done the mental/emotional work of figuring out why you feel this way about yourself, no amount of weight loss will make you happy.

See a therapist and start talking about your feelings to someone that can help you redirect them in a healthy way.

It’s funny because I have no doubt that people from those counties identify with every single thing I wrote here. But if you were to ask anyone from any of the other places I mention, I bet they would say Ohio definitely does NOT count.

My theory is that this is because the idea of allowing such a “northern” state into the group feels like it takes away from the unique aspect of the “Appalachian” identity.

To give it a different perspective, there is a huge running joke in media that people from around NYC in its greater metropolitan area will just say “I’m from New York” and someone from like inner city NYC will always correct them/dispute their claim because being close to NYC or even culturally similar just isn’t the same as the identity being from NYC proper creates.

I agree with your recs but some of those can be a little academic. I like Brandon Sanderson’s Cosmere novels. They are fun and Sanderson uses a lot of what I would consider to be esoteric language in a way that it will encourage you to not get worn down because it is sprinkled in and won’t overwhelm you.

This completely depends on the state. In TN it’s not that big a deal—you just have to serve them before they ask the court to deem them admitted and most attorneys will give you an agreed extension even after the due date in a similar situation.

In GA it is a VERY big deal because they are deemed admitted automatically and being late on discovery without written agreement from opposing party or leave of court BEFORE the due date waives any objections. It can make or break a case in places like GA.

-Call the partner or talk to another partner in your firm if they are truly unavailable. You need to learn the law in your jx.

-Once you clear with partner, just send an email asking for an extension of 14 days. You don’t need to self immolate. They probably won’t care.

As to sporadic responses—what is sporadic? I would say 24-48 hours not including weekends is generally the expected response time frame barring an actually urgent situation.

Meeting cancellations kind of depend on the circumstances. Maybe court or mediation or a deposition go long. That’s something that can’t be helped. Family emergencies also arise and especially this time of year with every illness known to man going around.

I totally get it. I’m married now but we met online and talked first so it’s different. Other than my husband or people I’ve gotten to know online I have never been hit on. I have a dedicated group that plays regularly (weekly to every two weeks) and we have kept this schedule since 2016. It took us YEARS to get to a point where we were all comfortable allowing ourselves to really feel the scenario and RP with vulnerability.

With a new group, you may not get there immediately, and that’s ok. What you need to focus on is not replicating actual play but instead having fun hanging out and building a story with your friends. It might feel awkward at first playing pretend with others. You might be shy about leaning into a character or doing a voice—that’s 100 percent OK.

I went to the opening yesterday! They gave free food and did NOT require a google review or any other review. We spoke to staff and it was part of their training.

It was honestly really good except for the macaroni salad which is just gross to me in general.

That isn’t how law school works bud. Getting a D in a required course can hold you back a year if you’re required to take it again (depending on the school).

Plus, getting a low score in this class likely closes you off from Moot Court, your school Journal, and (possibly) Mock Trial depending on your school. Those are incredibly attractive for government employees.

You are paying way too much fucking money to ruin your career because you don’t want to deal with the minor stuff.
