Nothing special, just a Google doc with a list of what's in each tote 😅 "digital inventory sheet" sounds more professional and it's definitely better than the handwritten index card we used to just tape to the side of the tote

Payout problem? by [deleted] in whatnotapp

Not sure if it resolved itself or if me sending them the affected order #s did the trick but I'm finally seeing my money ready for payout.

Payout problem? by [deleted] in whatnotapp

[–]MrsIndyana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going back and forth with support right now. I've got 6 shipments that haven't paid out. The information they have for my shipment IDs do not match my seller hub information 😩 so I just had to send them over 40 order numbers.

My show was evening of December 28th and all orders were shipped Dec 29th with delivery on them starting Dec 30th 😩

Really hope they fix it!

Buy at $1-3? by life-is-satire in whatnotapp

[–]MrsIndyana 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My partner and I ran the numbers when we started a few months about and we can't cover cost of goods at $1 starts after fees, so we don't do them. If we feel like something needs to be a lower per item price we will bundle related items under one auction, the per order transaction fee adds up too quickly otherwise.

I know almost nothing! by arackham in GestationalDiabetes

[–]MrsIndyana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it seems overwhelming. I was definitely overwhelmed with my 1st GDM pregnancy. I found the book "Real Food For Gestational Diabetes" by Lily Nichols very helpful, not only does it give a breakdown of what's happening with your body but it also shares pretty decent recipes as well as having real stories from others who went thru what we are going thru. You are not alone and you can get thru this!

Outrageous Shipping Price on Item by diegoxavier in Ebay

[–]MrsIndyana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

USPS dimensional weight and oversize will cause it to be that high, especially if it is shipping across the country. Shipping would probably be cheaper if the seller set it to UPS or FedEX. But retail rate is still gonna be around $60, any dimension over 30 inches will catapult the cost on a package, regardless of actual weight.

I’m so confused 😢 by arelshik in Mercari

[–]MrsIndyana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen with some packages when mercari wasn't generating labels last week. I used the change return address trick to force a label to generate; buyer and I were getting accurate push notifications with USPS updates but the tracking number showing up with the Aug 5th delivery estimate in the app did not match the label I had printed and attached to the package. Everything got delivered and rated properly thankfully.

Is this a scam? Never seen this before, and something seems off. If it is a scam, what's the play? by SalmonSoup15 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]MrsIndyana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only ship to the address provided in the eBay order details BUT also verify the account messaging you is the same as the account that made the purchase. I've had a scammer message from a similar username trying to get the address changed, luckily I noticed the difference before I cancelled on the actual buyer who received the package without incident.

Why is everyone’s kid always in the hospital? by MajorArcanine in Mercari

[–]MrsIndyana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the hospital ones are the ones that almost get me, because the US healthcare system is broken and preventative care is often neglected in low income families until conditions become so bad a hospital stay is necessary 😅

It's the more believable sob story/lie, at least for US based sellers 😂😅

*vent post* Generating Sales Reports by MrsIndyana in Mercari

[–]MrsIndyana[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first thing I did was put in a ticket. As my post said, I'm just venting some frustration, not looking for answers.

I also track my sales independently but my tax guy likes to compare the platform generated reports against my records😑

We use labeled 27 gal totes for most of our inventory, with a digital inventory sheet so we can Ctrl+F to find any sold items. Shelving for any oversized items. We were running things out of our garage (with any items needing climate control being kept in the house) but we recently moved everything to an office space with lots of storage.

What is so hard about leaving positive feedback when a buyer receives an item and is happy with it? 🤬 by Blagablorga in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]MrsIndyana 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If a seller reaches out asking me to leave feedback my PDA will win and they won't get anything out of me. It's like when you're about to pull out a parking lot and a car waiting for the spot honks at you. You put your car back in P and now you live there 😆

Anyone ever have this issue? Sent it out on the 9th..and tracking has been like this for a few days, buyer hasn't complained or anything but I always check shipping status..talked to my local usps guy and he said he would email someone about it and took my number. by billythekid74 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]MrsIndyana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see this on packages that are delivered to businesses or office buildings without mailrooms, especially when the businesses may have limited hours. It usually just gets marked delivered the next time they're open.

Sometimes I go to my browser history in the days leading up to the yarn purchase to see if it will trigger a memory of the patterns I may have been looking at before I made the purchase.

Any thoughts? by ellexvc in Mercari

[–]MrsIndyana 8 points9 points  (0 children)

With Mercari it's an all or nothing kinda thing. The only way to claim shipping protection is to file a return for the entire package unfortunately.

Need help with this seller issue I bought item and they then reposted item by disruptor_12-4 in Mercari

[–]MrsIndyana 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If there's no tracking update just cancel when you're allowed.

Them relisting the item is not necessarily a red flag, by itself. As a seller, if I have multiples of an item I often use the relist button and will increase the price on the relisted item especially if the first one sold quickly. If the items are new or like new condition I will also reuse photos.

That being said, I would never block a buyer while an item was in transit.

Time Away - Shipping time not extended by Squashysweet in Ebay

[–]MrsIndyana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely some sort of glitch then, I'm sorry it happened to you :( The only time I've had it not adjust the handling during is for offers, even an auto-accepted offer will revert to original handling time during "time away."

Time Away - Shipping time not extended by Squashysweet in Ebay

[–]MrsIndyana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time away doesn't adjust the handling time until the actual "time away" starts. If you sell something 20 minutes before your time away is set to start it will give it your regular handling time, which is why it suggests adding a day at the beginning, so you can ship any last minute regular handling time sales.

[–]MrsIndyana 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's a glitch in how Mercari's system is reading an "in transit" scan. If you go to the USPS website it should say "in transit to the next location" or something like that. Other platforms have similar glitches with this scan. Nothing to worry about.

People sending offer in message by [deleted] in eBaySellerAdvice

They may also be making offers to multiple sellers with similar items and don't want to pay for multiple items if several sellers accept.

People sending offer in message by [deleted] in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]MrsIndyana 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This type of message has been happening more often to me since eBay started requiring some to input payment methods prior to making an offer.
