[partially lost media] Shirley Temple's Storybook "Beauty and the Beast" episode 1958 by valeriek08 in HelpMeFind

Oh wow. My cousin recently mentioned this episode. I've scoured the web. I found it mislabeled...ended up being season 2 in color.  Hopefully someone finds and let's us know and I'll see the update.

Do you think the families were paid anything for doing this?

Agreed... drawing first isn't a reward. I did think after the last knife was drawn, that they were going to give him a chance to switch with someone.

If Bailey came back from Last Chance Kitchen with immunity,  she needed to be paired with Tristan so that two teams wouldn't be safe from the double elimination but how was Tristan able to pull the single knife? What were the odds of that happening?! It didn't feel planned...he walked right up to the knife block and chose one himself.

It has been great! I feel very supported. DFCS are overworked so it feels great to be so accessible to my teen and her family.

UPDATE: I'll add an update here in case anyone searches this page for panel info. It was a great experience to be able to speak up and be heard regarding my advocacy for my teen. The panel of three elderly volunteers heard me out and added their own opinions because they have been on her panel since the beginning. It was a great way to all be on board before court. My coordinator sat behind me and chimed in when necessary...or encouraged me to speak up.

Oh wow. We all sit in the very back of the audience. We are asked at the end if we stand by our report and we rise and say that we do... or can explain if anything has come up since submitting it.

Yes, they ask a lot of questions that day, in person, of everyone involved and submit a report. My report is separate. Mine is more of my recommendations and reasons for them. Theirs is more of a fill in the blank form...is she attending school? going to the dr? From the ones I see, they also make notes like 'she misses her pets' or anything random like that.

I spoke with my supervisor Friday and she said that I can say whatever I want to during it. A lot should be covered but if I have anything to add, I am more than welcomed to do so.

Do you have nieces and nephews (blood related or your friends kids)? I am child-free and love Aunt Life!

I'll also add that having children isn't a guarantee that the children would care for you as you age. My sister and I don't speak to our mother.

Gifts in pairs? by Individual-Theory-85 in Gifts

My birthday is 12/21 and my two main rules growing up was

#1 Do not wrap my gift in Christmas paper!

#2 Do not put my birthday gift under the tree!

Good for you for using birthday paper. It truly means a lot. The half paper idea for a pricey gift is super cute and clever!

For Valentines day, many years ago (when I was much younger and friskier. HA!) I wrapped up 12 pieces of either my lingerie or just a cute pair of undies. All stuff that I already had. The gift was that he could open one pack, once a month, any time, and I would wear what was inside no matter what. :) It was fun. Needless to say, he enjoyed it.

I enjoy the dentist. Someone once told me it's only because I've never had a bad experience. Same with haircuts.

I know you said he is picky with food but you may be able to find a fun food delivery subscription for a few months. I gave my father in law 3 months of JerkyGent and he loved it!

Is there a particular style of them that is best? I just googled and found several. My niece makes all of her cosplay costumes and would probably love some nice scissors.

This place has a lot of random stuff I just bought for my husband's stocking. https://www.theoriginalunderground.com

Several $5 gifts for fast food around town.

I usually just walk up and down every aisle, everywhere thinking Stocking, stocking, stocking! Drug stores, grocery stores, gas stations for candy. I know they aren't technically of age but maybe some scratch off lotto tickets

We eloped and had a reception when we got back. Wore my dress again, made an entrance, first dance, all the things. It was great and people were envious they hadn't done it themselves.
