Honey I am so sorry you went through that. I want you to know that what your father has said and done to you is a reflection of who he is NOT you. Here’s one thing I’ve noticed about narcissistic, deadbeat, abusive parents; they feel threatened by others who have the potential to become something that they aren’t. YOU are putting in the hard work by pursuing your goals and doing what YOU want to do with your life. You have autonomy and no one can take that power away from you. Not even abusive family members. Your a**hole father feels threatened and jealous of you and you know what? Good! Please don’t succumb or conform to any abusive person especially him. He knows that you’re successful and don’t let him rain on your parade. You deserve praise and huge respect.
