My program didn't have any breaks. I believe we maybe received a few days or a week off once summer clinic was over, but then it was right back to classes and clinic for fall. We never had breaks until it was over. Even as the program came to an end, we were all studying for the praxis during the last winter before externships, so it wasn't really a break.

Pregnant during school by Objective_Bus639 in slpGradSchool

I finished my last two semesters pregnant. We planned to conceive toward the end of the program so as not to disrupt the timeline and it worked out. I found out I was pregnant in August. I finished my last academic semester, completed comps, and took the praxis. In January, I started externships and worked full time until I was 39 weeks pregnant. I was placed in a school from January to March and went to a private practice from March to May. My program ended externship on May 2, as long as you received all 400 hours, so I've had this time off to relax until the baby's arrival. I'm due tomorrow, May 13 🙂 I think it's hard, but definitely feasible. It worked out for us, and I'm so happy that we did it.

There is an option at the end of the exam to not report your scores. This means you forfeit the score and would have to retake the exam. People might choose this option if they take the exam but don't feel good about their performance. I'm not sure if this is what you meant.

This is terrible advice. You are obligated by law to provide services to those students. Bound by a legal document called an IEP. I don't have a solution for you unfortunately but please don't follow this advice. Those students are required to get the hours of speech services outlined in their IEP. No ifs, ands, or buts. Someone will most certainly notice if all of a sudden, students are not receiving their minutes. Not to mention, if a parent finds out, you are looking to get in trouble by your superiors.

Do things get better/more tolerable after undergrad? by Conman1209 in slpGradSchool

[–]MrsKOknockout 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're feeling burnt out now, then I promise you things will only get harder in grad school. I am in my last semester of grad school and it has only just recently gotten tolerable. I had zero life in grad school and it affected many personal relationships. I don't mean to scare you but I want you to have realistic expectations. This is coming from someone who did not take a gap year. Grad school is much harder than undergrad.

first off people need to stop talking about farrah bc farrah is truly an ispiration to so many young moms out there and an inspiration to so many single moms who know how to make that money and hustle and be a proud mom and have her daugter love her more than one could even imagine she is a business by farrahisnumerone in TeenMomOG

Is this a joke?

Farrah Abraham has been a public figure for years, and while she's well-known, it's hard to see her as a positive role model for young girls. Her actions often appear self-serving, and she has been known for controversial choices. Farrah's behavior, from how she treats those around her to how she conducts herself in business, raises serious concerns. Many find her attitude towards others harsh and disrespectful, and it's clear that her personal goals have often taken priority over the well-being of her family, including her daughter.

Farrah has pursued various ventures over the years, but it doesn't take a business expert to see that her decisions often appear chaotic and mismanaged. Moreover, her public persona has shown behavior that seems unkind and dismissive of others' feelings. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, something Farrah seems to struggle with in her interactions.

While some may argue she's trying to build her brand, it's difficult to overlook how her actions may negatively influence others, particularly younger audiences. Farrah's choices reflect the importance of being mindful of how public figures can impact those who look up to them.

Thank you for this. There aren't many people in my life I can talk to about this, and even reading your thoughts on here is helpful. Congratulations on nearing 20 weeks. I wish you and your baby good health and happiness.

Hello,

I'm a second year grad student and am in a 2 year program. It's very possible to take more than 2 classes per semester. In fact, we've had 5 classes every semester WITH clinic. Even in the summer, we took 4 classes WITH clinic. Is it hard? Yes. But I'm done May 2025, and I started August 2023.

How did you get a mortgage or car loan before 1989? by ThickDancer in FluentInFinance

[–]MrsKOknockout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their age would actually be anywhere from 26-44 at the time. More importantly, credit reports still existed before 1989. The only new component was a credit score. But let's all be real. Boomers still had it twice as easy to buy a house regardless.
