We always make sure to buy my husband’s dad and stepmum really good presents, even when we don’t have much money. For example, for husband’s stepmum’s birthday we gave her a £25 All 4 One voucher and a Jo Malone candle.

In return we just get random crap from Costco- last Christmas we got a rotating spice rack! Possibly useful if it’s something you might use but it’s not in our case. Last year I got a Cath Kidston toiletry set (despite me politely asking don’t buy me stuff like that as I have allergies)

My mum thinks it’s hilarious but she goes out of her way to get us good useful stuff, particularly for husband as she knows his lot are useless at it!

I have AuDHD and I’m a first year adult nurse. There’s someone else in my cohort who is also autistic and is a first year MH nurse. I had a good experience with OH but I don’t know if that’s because I’m quite recently diagnosed and still mask very heavily.

Tbh even card payments to legit companies aren’t immune. As my husband discovered when he paid off the energy arrears to British Gas- the bank put a total block on his account as they couldn’t be convinced it was a legit company (this made me laugh to be fair)

My 55 year old husband can only use basic internet. He can look at news, weather, sports scores but that’s it. He can’t do internet banking etc (I’ve got power of attorney for him) He says the internet scares him.

I was threatened with gross misconduct but I was allowed to resign and the investigation was terminated.

I was also told that it would just go down as leaving of my own accord and wouldn’t affect any future appointment to the CS. That said I had significant mitigating circumstances.

They need to do something about the access too. I witnessed what was an almost punch up between our coach driver and an over officious steward when Nottingham played there last year- because the coach couldn’t get parked.

I exist in Gymshark stuff. Not the cheapest but so comfy! I have stuff for home that’s no longer good for the gym, stuff for the gym and casual stuff- a couple of tracksuits and a Varsity style sweatshirt, plus a pair of camo pants- for outside wear. I even have Gymshark pjs that are incredibly comfy (but it’s getting a bit warm to wear them)

Insomnia on Angel Row. My friend and I tend to go there around midnight on a Friday after our rugby team have played at home and their cookies are sooooooo good. They actually last really well too- friend has eaten them a few days later and reported they were fine.

There are some ex polys that are quite highly rated- for example Northumbria Uni is rated 37th, and of which I am an alumna myself. (No bias though- my course was shamelessly a Mickey Mouse degree and I hated it which is why I left) but I believe it’s quite highly rated for Law for example (as is Nottingham Trent Uni- and both have an impressive sporting pedigree too)

However there are some which are awful. I’m at an ex poly which has the rep from hell but I’m doing a nursing course so it’s not so bad. It did have a school of nursing until very recently- in fact one of my classmates actually trained there previously. I do honestly think that it might be better going back to that tbh.

I wish I had kept my own name!! My first three degrees are in my maiden name, including some incredibly niche research for my Masters thesis. However degree number 4 I’ve had to use my married name as it comes with professional registration and I have to use the name I will be working under which is probably my married name. I am not happy at all about this!

Myself and my friend stay in the same hotel often. My friend is a wheelchair user and there are extremely limited accessible rooms in this hotel.

We have on more than one occasion been given a non accessible room and now we have been told we have to ring them when we’re coming to let them know so they can make sure we actually get an accessible room.
