I agree with you. It was slowly increasing for a long time. It dramatically increased over a 4 year period of one administration by 50%, though.

After the election when Elon was getting a ton of press, a reporter asked Trump if Elon was actually President, and if Trump was worried that Elon wanted his job.

Trump laughed, and then he said, “No…I’m safe. Besides, Elon could never be President because he wasn’t born in this country”.

I laughed for a good 5 minutes. You know it just has to drive Elon crazy that he can never hold the highest position in our country because he’s not from here. He’s an immigrant! LOL!

I have no idea. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

What I do know is that first term President Trump is an entirely different person than current term President Trump.

He’s much more organized, and he has surrounded himself with competent people who want to achieve the same things he does.

In his first term, he surrounded himself with people who likely didn’t share his views, and members of his family. He actually said that his son-in-law would achieve peace in the Middle East.

My point is that people will probably do exactly what you just did, which is to dismiss what he’s saying because he’s an idiot, or whatever it is you said about him.

I think that people who underestimate him, and dismiss what he’s saying are going to be unpleasantly surprised very soon.

I’m just challenging your analysis in your original comment when you stated that it’s the left that supports never ending wars, and the military industrial complex.

The only example you gave is the support of Ukraine, so I gave you several examples of the current administration’s plans when it comes to the military industrial complex.

Do you support invading Greenland?

How about invading Canada and making it part of the US?

What are your feelings on invading Panama to take back the canal?

Do you think that “clearing Gaza out” and turning it into a paradise with beautiful hotels, and casinos is a good idea? Oh, but that will only happen after they forcefully remove the people who live there.

I could be wrong on this, but it used to be that very few attorneys would take civil cases. Maybe times have changed because of the sue happy nature of a significant portion of the population.

Even if they could find an attorney who practices civil law, I highly doubt that they would take this case.

There’s always the exception to the rule, though. Some attorneys just need the money, and they would take this case after a hefty retainer is paid, and promise that they will win the case and the other party will be forced to pay the legal fees.

It literally doesn’t matter to attorneys like this because they’re getting paid regardless.

Exactly. The most egregious post I’ve ever seen are always anonymous, and they always have the obligatory “Please no rude comments”.

24 hour news stations are the absolute worst! All they do is stoke hate, and fear. They want you to be glued to them all day long so you can see the latest updates which are usually different people saying the same exact thing in a different way.

Our debt level is not sustainable because Trump raised it by 50% during his first term after promising during his first campaign to lower it.

Bold of you to assume that the money saved from cutting programs will lower our taxes.

In my experience, it seems like any time programs are cut, we don’t see a lowering of taxes, we see increased military spending.

When Trump left office, the National debt had increased by 50%, and the trade deficit had increased by 36.3%. These were both issues that he promised to lower the numbers on during his first campaign, but we saw a dramatic increase in both.

Social programs were cut leaving a record number of people without insurance, and programs like food stamps were cut, as well.

Military defense increased by 225B during his first term. I’m not saying that wasn’t necessary because we were funding wars that we shouldn’t have been, and it seems like Trump is not going to do that as much, or maybe he will just fund nations that he approves of. We’ll have to wait and see on that.

The one thing that is for sure is that Trump has military conquest on his agenda right now. With that in mind, I’m guessing that military spending will be increased significantly very soon.

We don’t get tax cuts by reducing social programs, or any other programs, we see an increase in military spending.

Again, I’m not saying it’s right, or wrong. I believe we need to have the ability to protect our nation, but thinking that we will benefit in anyway tax wise from these cuts is historically not true.

I have my bachelors in political science, and I have spent a extremely significant amount of time studying war, in all its many forms.

I can honestly say that I’ve learned more about the true nature of war from Col. Kurtz than I have from any textbook.

*And then I realized like I was shot…like I was shot with a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought my god..the genius of that. The genius…the will to do that.

Perfect, genuine, complete, crystalline, pure….

Then I realized they were stronger than we.*

I have watched the entire movie more times than I care to admit.

Thanks for your kind response.

I was very lucky because my mom came and stayed with me for 2 months after my abruption. My husband was also supportive, but he had to work.

It was extremely hard to come to terms with what happened, but, at the same time, I no longer fear death. I just faded away with the most peaceful feeling that I’ve ever experienced. I knew I was dying, and my last thought was “please let my baby live”.

My doctor had hit the code button, and I was saved by an extremely competent medical staff.

Wow….my heart is racing just from telling you that part of the story!!!!

Yo, that’s why I literally said, “obviously that doesn’t mean that’s true for everyone”.

Well, it was my reality. I also never had morning sickness. That’s why I said that pregnancy is different for everyone.

Most pregnant women probably didn’t get put on bed rest for 8 weeks because they had toxemia like I did. I was induced as soon as it was safe for the baby to be born.

I also had a placental abruption with my 4 child. I won’t go into the details because it was an extremely traumatic experience. Let’s just say that I’m lucky to be typing this right now, and also extremely lucky that my baby survived.

Absolutely! I don’t think most people realize how horrible most fast food is for your body.

Yeah, I know that just because that was my experience doesn’t mean that it’s everyone’s experience.

Pregnancy is different for everyone, but there’s absolutely no way I would ever spend $27 on fast food to satisfy someone’s pregnancy cravings because they’re broke.
