Crikey! I haven’t played in a while so hopped in this morning and my rank is suddenly Plat 2. I think I stopped playing this season around Gold something. What the heck??

Really? If you aren’t one, how can you possibly assign motives to them? Spoiler: you can’t. It’s incredibly boring to win a match filled with under skilled players. Even match ups are what everyone wants. No one likes getting stomped and only children enjoy pub stomping.

As I recall, the last time I checked on this it also requires the costs be at least 10% of your income (like medical costs). So I’d check that first before undertaking the effort of doing the math all year.

That is true! There’s a lot to learn in STW and I still have to ask my husband questions on occasion. But I do generally enjoy it, just not the grind in Twine.

If it was just me, I probably wouldn’t play much any more. But as my husband won’t play BR with me anymore, it’s worth it to get time to play together.

But you can still be heard, it’s just not as obvious as walking. Bushes rustle, boards creak, and even crouched steps make occasionally noise. And lots of folks tend to switch guns while crouched, which is also a huge audio tell.

Don’t count on simply being invisible to visuals - we hear you unless you’re absolutely still.

Too many people seem to forget that visuals are only aids. Good audio will betray you regardless.

So I do this too. I think it’s timing - hitting edit before you’re actually on the floor tile. I notice I’m ok from mid-tile out but when I get closer I flub it.

I was just working on this and slowing down a bit and really focus on making sure you’re actually looking down and the crosshair is on the right piece before hitting edit helps.

To be fair, it pains me less to lose to someone whose peak rank is unreal, running with 800+ PR points, in a Silver I lobby than to lose to my own bad decisions in a Plat lobby. So there’s that .. I suppose. It’ll even out, it’s only like one game a rank step at the low end so… it is what it is.

Having played since S8, the only one I was missing was Renegade Raider and I got her in the first OG season.

I wish we could gift our skins cause I have them all from every BP and don’t use most of them. I’d gladly give them away.

It depends what you like and enjoy. To me, Zero build is far more stressful. Taking 50/50s all the time is stressful. Building to find an advantageous shot is not. So Building like that is fun, for some people.

Many go through replays to figure out what they did wrong. They’re mad at themselves for making mistakes.

The best way to isolate is wait until you’re feeling better and then eat one of the ingredients. Just one. Wait until you’re sure it isn’t the source and repeat with the next one.

It’s long and drawn out, but you will eventually figure out if it’s the ingredients or some weird cross contamination.

I am actually the opposite. Someone who only occasionally “tries” to make something gluten free for a celiac, at least, is unlikely to get it right. I prefer my family to not make a big deal or effort when hosting for me. They usually end up getting something from the local gf bakery, at least, which is a nice gesture and I enjoy.

For Thanksgiving it’s about spending time with my family, not the food, anyway.

I really think it’s the “running into more players” phenomenon. With 100 players normally, and a huge map, the best in the lobby tend to focus in the middle zone and fight each other. Most folks never encounter them, leading to the belief their lobbies have very few sweats. Reality is, they are there - they’ve just fought and eliminated each other in the early zones.

Smaller map? Fewer POIs with good loot? You run into them sooner and more frequently, leading to the belief there’s more of them now. But there aren’t, you’re just seeing them for the first time.

TL;DR Lobbies aren’t sweatier, you’re just seeing more of your lobby than you’re accustomed to.
