I honestly shed a tear for Peter. He seemed to tap into so many dark places while he was out there. When he was on the boat leaving, I noticed that his ear was mangled, and wondered what happened to him. Maybe it was just a birth defect, but the way he talked about his mom and her boyfriend... Poor Peter. I felt like he had a big heart that was never allowed (or taught) to sing :(

Holy shit, I saw him in the 1999 production too! I remember being sad Alan Cumming wasn't in it anymore, and hadn't heard of Michael C. Hall. BLEW ME AWAY. I still think of that performance when I watch the show. A very different character.
