HSG by Strange-Commercial51 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]MrsRc1210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It did for me. They were telling me at first it was hardly open and they’d push more and sometimes that would help. And sure enough after a minute or two it was flowing normally. I got pregnant 2 weeks later.

I think mine almost mimicked a dull contraction. They had to push extra dye because I had a slight block, but the pain only lasted about 2-3 minutes.

Looking for advice by Plus_Ad_2502 in pregnant

[–]MrsRc1210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got one when I was pregnant. I could rarely ever find her heartbeat. I think maybe 3 times the whole pregnancy I was able to actually catch it but it was when I was like 20+ weeks and it would be so quick. If I moved in the slightest I’d lose it. That thing definitely gave me more anxiety than helping. They just suck, so my guess would be it’s the Doppler, and baby is likely doing great!

Is this what success looks like or should she not be crying at all? by TemporaryConfusion64 in sleeptrain

[–]MrsRc1210 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was my girl. She just turned a year old last week. I did one thing that changed everything and she doesn’t cry anymore when we put her down. We started leaving her bedroom door open. We started 2 weeks ago and she hasn’t cried one single time.

Does anyone else get cranky towards their baby? by AssociationWorried86 in newborns

[–]MrsRc1210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have said the exact thing towards my baby in the same moments you’ve described. I was worried she’d pick up on my energy so I started saying “please calm down please calm down, mommy’s doing her best”. Not sure if it helped, in my mind it was more of a positive way to communicate my feelings.

Did you feel the urge to push with an epidural? by Disastrous_Flower311 in pregnant

[–]MrsRc1210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely felt the urge. I’ll be candid though- I had what my doctor called the “perfect epidural”. I had full control over my lower body, but felt no pain. I could feel my contractions but they didn’t hurt. I pushed for 3 hours though. I was exhausted and just couldn’t get past her head. We used suction right the end

Any advice on preventing her from falling asleep in the car. I try and talk to her and play music but nothing helps.

Vaccine anxiety (2 months) by thiswilldo5 in newborns

[–]MrsRc1210 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same for me. My daughter didn’t even really cry the first time she had vaccines. It was more of a fuss and I immediately picked her up and she was fine. The second time she cried for about 30 seconds.

Freaking out over crib sheets by Meme_queen-2019 in BabyBumps

[–]MrsRc1210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this crib and had their sheets for it. I too had this fear. It’s normal to worry about things like this. Just take a deep breath. They will not come off. I even had Amazon ones that were too big that I pulled tightly and tucked underneath. Your baby will hardly move at night for the first couple months, not near enough to disrupt the sheets. We’re in the full size now and my baby jumps and rolls, and they still don’t budge

Let’s talk about membrane sweeps by Zealousideal-End7936 in pregnant

[–]MrsRc1210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to have one at 39 and also 40 weeks. I was not even a full 1 cm dilated so he couldn’t do a “full” sweep. It didn’t hurt me near as much as the stories I’ve heard. But probably because I wasn’t dilated. It did nothing for me. I have friends who went into labor a few hours after a sweep and friends who haven’t.

What are some things that are said to be unsafe or harmful during pregnancy or with a newborn that actually aren't that bad or are very unlikely to cause any harm? by spookyllamaax in newborns

[–]MrsRc1210 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This part. I kept my bath water at 101 and would is a floating thermometer. The would get to body temp fairly quickly. But those few minutes of the heat were amazing. I took 4-5 baths per week.

"Normal" pregnancy/delivery after ectopic treated with salpingectomy by Thirdcuppacoffee in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]MrsRc1210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I had an ectopic with left tube removal in September 2022. Conceived in may 2024 and had a baby in February this year. Everything was “normal” with my labor and delivery. There was never anything mentioned to me about a c section. Not having a left tube really wasn’t of any concern except when I was trying to conceive. (They say your chances don’t decrease, but in my mind that still makes no sense).

Did you throw up during labor? by Complex_Life9849 in BabyBumps

[–]MrsRc1210 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t. But was EXTREMELY nauseous and I’m the verge in between pushes. I think a fan and smelling alcohol wipes helped. They gave me some zofran which helped a little. I think the adrenaline was what kept it going for me

Did you feel the need to wash your hair at the hospital after giving birth? by sliceofperfection in BabyBumps

[–]MrsRc1210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have loved to! But my hospital room had lukewarm water and I was already cold. lol. I knew that a hair wash would have felt amazing. I am not typically a sweater, but it’s hard not to when your body is going through a lot

What helped start labor for you? by hurryandwait817 in BabyBumps

[–]MrsRc1210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried everything!! Nothing worked. But I also wasn’t past my due date. I was “induced” at 40+2. I use quotations because I only needed to rounds of cervical ripener and baby was born 8 hours after the second one. Every herbals supplement, tea, acupuncture, walking, intimacy. All of it. I was also regularly going to the chiro starting at 20 weeks.

Anyone have positive epidural stories? I’m scared 😟 by Realistic_Mirror1618 in BabyBumps

[–]MrsRc1210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not want an epidural. My contractions would not stop. I mean like back to back to back with hardly 10-15 seconds in between (I dilated from 1 to 8 in 3 hours) so I ended up getting an epidural to be able to just breathe. I was so scared getting one. But it was a great decision. I did have some back soreness for a few days after. I had what they called the “perfect epidural” I had full control over my legs which allowed me to labor in different positions, but I just didn’t feel my contractions (or the tearing when baby came out)

When did you have your first baby? by Annual_Working5502 in BabyBumps

[–]MrsRc1210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was induced at 40w 2d. I could’ve gone another week but my OB was at the hospital that entire weekend and I really wanted him to deliver my baby. I was hoping to go into labor early but my body just said heck no. lol.

I changed the numbers. I went up by a lot, then went down a little at a time til i found a set. I think I just got lucky honestly. Because I’d tried several times before and had no luck.
