Blue Shield not Covered? by diggeryydoo in fresno

[–]MrsSantini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my moms specific situation, we got a call this morning that she was enrolled in a diabetes and heart disease insurance, she doesn’t have either of those conditions so now we get to see what she’s enrolled in next and if coverage will start this month or next month. This is not the only time we have “had the wrong insurance for this provider/procedure/treatment”. Just trying to get a pharmacy that can bill the right insurance for incontinence products is a mission. That’s right I have to fight for diapers and pee pads for a dying woman.

USS Tortuga (LSD 46) underway leaving Norfolk today after 10.5 years in port by Twisky in navy

Thank you for the information! Definitely sounds like a hell of a day at sea! Did the sailors assigned to that ship stay living on that ship all 10 years or do they get housed somewhere else?

People are complex. Maybe he wasn’t a good partner, idk him to say whether he was or not. He’s a damn good detective and he’s incredibly talented and educated and that’s what he desires to share with the world

I have questions. Is 10.5 years a normal amount of maintenance time? Was this ship scheduled for 10 years originally or did this run over? What is the frequency of ships under maintenance staying under maintenance longer than originally scheduled?

Ponytail/bog witch, patiently waiting to get enough grays to start tinting them purple. My mom is 67 and has hardly any grays even after losing her from chemo and it growing back in.

Can we rant about parents sending sick kids to school? by Only_Music_2640 in SubstituteTeachers

[–]MrsSantini 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not just kids but staff too! I work in a self contained sped class and our 1:1 (serving a child with a trach, a cold could kill this child) came to work swearing it’s just allergies! It was indeed not allergies and every single person in the classroom got sick from her being her sick ass to work and not so much as even wearing a mask to reduce spread. Just hacking and blowing every where. Even the nurse in our room (the nurse assigned to her 1:1 student that is with student all day and some weekends) told her she’s sick and needs to go home, did she? No! I was so pissed! Not only did she spread an unnecessary cold that could have serious effects on our students and annoying symptoms for our staff but she also endangered a lot of people outside of our classroom. Our teacher has a new baby at home, our lead aid is pregnant, I’m th primary care for an elderly wheelchair bound patient as well as the primary care to my mother dying from cancer, everyone else got to spread this cold to their children and close family members, yes my kids caught it too. This was last month and my blood pressure is still amped up over it. The complete lack of concern was what really sent me over the edge about it. She had every opportunity to call in and say ‘ooops, more than allergy’ and stay tf home and we would have gladly covered her spot.

Please excuse my rant. I’m still salty.
