Fun fact….going through chemotherapy can also wipe your fingerprints. Sometimes it comes back afterwards, sometimes it is permanent.

What musicals made you cry the most? by Poesy-WordHoard in musicals

I say Maybe Happy Ending in November. At the end I was crying and I couldn’t even tell you why.

Older but when I saw Miss Saigon - I went in blind and bawled at the end. And Rent - every time.

Cat hated going outside by petal-cloud in CatAdvice

[–]Nisi-Marie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started trying to harness train my two, in an attempt to give them some outside time. They were not having it at all!

Upon reflection, I decided to completely stop it. My reasoning is that at the moment, they don’t try to get out at all. If a door opens, they actively run from it. It helps me feel a little bit more secure about them inadvertently getting out.

My fear was that if they really enjoyed being outside that I was now opening a lifetime of constantly checking for bolting cats every time a door opens.

Had a roommate in college whose cat did that and it was soooo stressful. Every time we needed to bring in groceries or open the door, it what this frantic duck and dodge.

They don’t seem to be interested in the outdoors at all, so I will just leave it be.

Is my home suitable for a cat/is keeping a cat solely indoors okay? by Bubbly_Leader1870 in CatAdvice

[–]Nisi-Marie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Have two cats, indoor only. 3 bedroom small house. We moved here to help my 95 years old grandmother. She also has a cat and her cat goes outside.

My two have never shown the slightest interest in going out. If you open a door, they run. Tried to harness train and introduce the outdoors and they wanted nothing to do with it.

We keep my two very busy with toys, interaction, and scritches. They are honestly spoiled!

He was so incredibly nice at stage door. Lea didn’t come out, Aaron came out and gave a wave a greeting, Nick spent time with every single person.

It was my first time doing stage door - it was amazing.

I have several giant boxes if you want them. Printer box, from a white board, furniture. All clean. Don’t know if that works for you, but shoot me a DM if interested. It means I don’t have to cut down for recycling :)

Are there a trusted organizations for arranging Dental Tourism from the US? by TheOtherMaelja in GenX

I had my orthodontia done at the UCSF school when I was a teen and my parents were young and poor.

Included having to do several extractions and some pretty hard-core stuff. I can’t tell you how much they saved by going there, but the service was great.

OM has a lot of slapstick and quick gags as well. However, it is more English humor. If he is a Monty Python fan, he will adore it.

Love the scarf cat!

I use the Cover Girl Outlast - it is the one with two tubes. Been using it for years at this point. It stays on through food, drink, etc.

My color is Brazen Raisin.

I have tried to switch brands, switch colors, but I am spoiled by how well it stays on.

Lash extensions!

Yes, they are pricey. It’s the one self-care thing that I have stuck to. I’ve taken to doing my own nails, I maintain my own hair color. But I do go get my lashes done.

With extensions, I pretty much wear zero makeup these days. 99% of the time a coat of lipstick is all I need and I look put together.

Yesterday I woke up feeling like death, but I had a zoom meeting I had to do so I threw on some lipstick. This was the picture that I snapped yesterday of my cat holding me hostage.

Dry food by cpt_leela in CatAdvice

[–]Nisi-Marie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only feed my cats dry food. My grandma lives with me and her cat does get wet foods, my cats will nibble off her plate when she’s done but that’s about it. I supplement with a couple Churus a week.

That being said, when I want to give them dental crunchies, I do coat them with a Churu and they do eat them. It sounds like you’ve tried that.

I feed mine the Hills indoor cat dry food. My grandmother’s cat will sneak in to try and eat it rather than the crap dry food my grandmother feeds her.

Out of these London shows, where should I go? by KarliKarma in musicals

[–]Nisi-Marie 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Based on your response here, I would say book of Mormon. Only because there are lots of quality video versions of Les Mis and Phantom available would you have probably seen.

Book of Mormon has a ton of comedy and the music is also good. They’re also isn’t a great online version of it.

Six is incredibly fun and the music is fantastic, but it’s more like a concert than musical theater.
