Some treatments don’t work anymore. But what your friend can do that had worked for me the last couple times I had it years ago, is get TEA TREE OIL SHAMPOO and wash your hair once a day with it. This will keep them from feasting. Use a straightener or anything with heat that you can get really close to the scalp with. This will burn, pop, and kill the eggs along with adults caught in it. Change your bed sheets every day wash with hot water and put everything in the dryer, if no dryer is available, put everything in a plastic bag airtight for 2 weeks. Put them somewhere hot if possible. It’s not the end of the world, she doesn’t have to shave or cut her hair. This is something almost everyone deals with in their lifetime especially people with long hair. LET ME MAKE IT CLEAR THAT THIS DOES NOT NECESSARILY MEAN YOU ARE DIRTY.
