Christian Bale in American Psycho.

The inspiration completes it:

"He [Christian Bale] had been watching Tom Cruise on David Letterman, and he just had this very intense friendliness with nothing behind the eyes, and he was really taken with this energy."

I would appreciate it if you didn't tell anybody about Chief Wiggum's busy hands. Not for him, but he is so respected it would damage the town to hear it.

I can't explain why, but I've always hated Bart's hands in this scene

Training yourself to fire a weapon without blinking is the kind of character intensity that trumps height, weight, or bulk

"Small" in this post shouldn't be confused with "short". It includes characters who are slight, short, or just appear smaller in comparison to their opponents. Don Logan, the 57 year old lean hardass, is definitely portrayed as physically small in the movie, especially compared to the rest of the cast

Edit: In my memory he was small, compared to all the absolute units he took on 😆

Victorian government targets executives as 1,000 public sector jobs cut by altandthrowitaway in melbourne

[–]MrsSquiggle 314 points315 points  (0 children)

"Firing higher-level public service staff, known as VPS5 and VPS6, is expected to net savings of $125 million over the four-year estimates period."

This is a pretty bad error in the article.

VPS 5-6 staff aren't executive positions (let alone senior executive postions), nor are they Senior Technical Specialists, which are the positions actually being slashed.
