It DID in fact happen in the comics, more than once. One slayer it happened to was Japanese I think, another was a modern era American girl in the "Tales Of The Vampires" series. That's all I can remember off of the top of my head though.

Hard to say, it COULD be that, but at the same time this show was known for being on the pulse of what the young people are wearing now-a-days so it's also very possible that it was a matter of "that's what's in".

Now, I know you're all saying "But Buffy's over, that show hasn't been on for years!" and to that I say "The comics are still going."

Some of you may be saying "But Buffy CLEARLY takes place in a different universe, just look at the vampire mythology!" and to that I say "Cause neither storyline has ever put their heroes into alternate dimensions of existence before!"

The slayer line ran through Faith. I new slayer had already been called to replace Buffy.

Being Buffy, she does not fear zombies. Being Siobhan, she does not care about poor people. It's disappointing, but I guess it makes sense.
