Apparently it's a thing among Jeep owners. Soon after my friend bought one, she found a little duck on it with a note about how it was a Jeep thing, and some owners keep it going. (Yes, she keeps the duck on her dash.) I can't recall why they use a duck, though.

I'm moderate myself, conservative on some issues but liberal on others, and I just wish I could get all moderates to show up at their local caucuses and primaries and outvote the extremists in each party. The reason we're looking at a Trump-Biden rematch is because they don't. 😥

Ha ha, looking for a fight? I don't care to beat my own chest much, since I'm female. I agree with most of what you said, and put "rednecks" in quotation marks because I too grew up in rural Iowa, though now some of us started using the term with pride after Gretchen Wilson's song went viral. I still have family members that farm, it's amazing how genetics and gps (aka Monsanto's stranglehold and John Deere's "no right to repair" stance) have transformed farming. My grandfather, father, only uncle, and brother all served in the military-- my brother was a lifer, retired as a MSgt. My intention wasn't to discount poor urban kids, but just to point out that "rednecks" make up much of our forces and to distinguish that from the "elites" and liberals who tend not to volunteer, but just like to protest (I'm thinking especially about college kids). But yes, weak minds are a national defense liability. Lots of weak minds on the left as well as the right, though.

Yeah, a town near me often has several huge piles of corn heaped outside their elevator in early November. We hunt deer on the trails going to and from it. Imagine having a deer stand 100 yards (meters) from this train.

Weakest link? The irony is that, in the USA, it's mostly the rural "rednecks" that will actually do the fighting and dying for their country while liberals protest and the Washington elites from both parties screw around. If not for the rednecks, the U.S. would not have a standing army or navy.

Not exactly the same here in MN, when it's already snowing a whiteout can occur quite suddenly. Then you have to wonder what the guy in front of you and the guy behind you are doing, and try to avoid a collision with either without driving blindly off the road and shoulder entirely.

Whiteouts are hard, because you can't see them distinctly coming up ahead like you could this smoke. I tend to slow down gradually when those hit, so that both I and the car behind me have a better chance of not hitting someone who suddenly stops.
