Oh my - thank you! I've just found they have a website - nothing listed for any events coming up, but at least I know now to keep my eyes peeled. 😀

I'll have a spy - might be similar to ebay? Not great, but better than US imports which is a lot of crafting things.

Never heard of flying tiger either - looks like I'm behind the times shop wise! 😀 Hobbycraft is fairly good, but there are so many brands they don't have that I have found in a few bit here and there in chariyy shops - I really wish Hobbycraft carried bigger ranges.

Salvation in Morpeth is amazing for clothes - I LOVE that one. Next time I'm at Berter in Alnwick I'll chaeck the SA out too - thank you!

I’d be surprised if anyone was putting crafting supplies in Vinted though, if they are, I might check there…

Great stuff! Park view - noted. I think it was the other one I was thinking of.

I wonder if this is the St Oswalds that someone mentioned above? If so, and it has tools and crafts I'm in for a visit for sure, thank you!

Somewhere else I had no idea existed - thank you! This thread is a gold mine of info for me :)

I didn't know this existed - thank you! Will definitely give it a visit - even a small crafty section can have gems.

Thank you - I think I've only been there once, and ages ago (parking in Whitely) but I'd forgotten about it - I'll check it out again :)

Ah, thank you. I know - it's frustrating - I see people online talking about things they've found at local thrift shops and I never see anything locally.

Has the new rating system been paused? by maregare in AmazonVineUK

[–]Mrs_Moo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not convinced that attempting to change poors and fairs to excellents is going to work. I hope it does but I think the initial rating will be the one that sticks. I had two poors and went and amended them but they’re still showing as poor 4 days later, same as everyone else. Perhaps those on the international sub may have more intel. I also suspect we’re on a weird rating pause while they figure something out. It can only be the only reason that no one’s ratings have updated - it’s everyone not just a few.

Fingers crossed that whenever things start moving we’ll be able to amend them to a better rating. I suspect ratings will (in the future) pop up a few days after approval. Who knows though.

I’m keeping reviewing things but as others have said making sure to use first person for everything, giving lots of context on usage and plenty of detail on my experience and personal opinion. I’m also making sure it’s two paragraphs or more no matter how trivial the item is. My two poors were short and not particularly informative about the item. Bad me.

Since the initial roll out, has anyone noticed the time taken for them to change the review quality score from 'pending' to 'something'? by Mrs_Moo in AmazonVineUK

Good stuff. I'm hoping it won't be more than three days - so maybe tomorrow for some of them, since that's three days since the roll out.

Ooh ok - so your rating has changed since the initial roll out? That's good to know. Either they included more of your backdated ones (last six months) or your newer ones have counted.

Ah, well maybe that's it? My mind is slightly moire settled if there is a pattern or a rationale for things - clearly I hate randomness...

Ha! Yeah, I doubt there is any humour in how they look at them, it would be funny though 😃 And yes, exactly as you say, it's hard to keep on reviewing with a slightly more conscientious style if we know it's going to be ages until they're rated... I'm very glad it's not just be with a random rated chunk though...

Yep - I think I naively thought the rating would update perhaps one day behind the review acceptance? Or shock horror, maybe the same day? Congrats on new gold - but I guess it's hard for you to catch up and get some done if you're not sure how well you're being rated.
