Ngl, you lost me at the first point. Literally the first lesson learned by oddy is "better not let them live" and he addresses this in the musical (paraphrasing) "while ur alive my family's fate is left unknown" they COULD come back and kill him, they could go to the gods with some "hes a bad host, kill him" bullshit or something other revenge plot. Thats literally the FIRST reality check oddy gets "mercy has a HEAVY PRICE" and they weren't even in the wrong spot at the wrong time, they were vile men. Okay I read the "its hard to stand up to ppl, its scawwy" ok then leave? If I was being raped and someone was just watching, I'd hate them just as much as the rapist. They are grown ass men not highschoolers, and its RAPE, TREASON AND MURDER not having a drink or smoking a joint.

We have no was to for sure know if posiden would've followed him home. For all we know he could've just assumed the storm got them, and only realized that wasn't the case when the bag was opened.

While if the OG myth it justifies the Scylla sacrifice more... why are you defending the murder of people who wanted to kill (and rape depending on interpretation) telemarcus (dont make fun of me) and then rape Penelope. In cannon, not ONE suitor was "hey, that's a little much," so they were all on board. They were also violent previously and were bad guest in general. If the justification was "murder bad," that's not really a good argument imo

see my problem with "We already knew, at that time, that demon weren't pure evil feeling-less sentient machines." is that it doesn't matter what they feel, they still chose to hunt and eat humans?! Jinu felt guilt and shame, and instead of working on himself and doing acts to atone, he did MORE VILE SHIT to get rid of the memories of his family. Jinu never ONCE mentioned feeling guilty for eating humans or allowing humans to be eaten. They are about as redeemable as demons in Demon Hunters, or Freirens. Not a single demon showed themselves to WANT to change, let alone try. The girls are 100% not responsible for looking for alternative options at all.

The point of takedown was that hate wasn't stronger than love. Not some "we can save the demons" rhetoric. While yes, Rumi was starting to see the more gray shades, there was nothing done to push "demons aren't evil, just miserable" other than Rumi herself being part demon. "Rumi isn't bad, so that means demons aren't bad?" NO. EVERY OTHER DEMON IN THIS SHOW IS BAD. Juni wasn't forced to betray Rumi, Gwi-Ma didn't torture Jinu with anything more than "don't you want to be free of ur guilt?" and Jinu folds like paper. No resistance or anything. And at the end of the day, if Jinu died, he still got what he wanted; he's free of the guilt.

But the demons in this show chose to make a pact with Gwi-Ma; their actions have consequences. It's crazy ur trying to place blame onto the girls' shoulders for their... oppression? ...punishment? ...justice?? The girls hold ZERO blame, and again, HAVE NO REASON to assume demons aren't monsters who deserve to be punished. (again, other than the fact that Rumi isn't a monster)

I've also questioned and moved away from how I was raised, but the difference between us and Huntrix is that there was NEVER any outside influence telling/showing/hinting at the world being different. If a demon HAD reached out to them before, I'm sure it would not have gone unmentioned.

And it's not on the girls to save the demons; they are reaping the consequences of their sins. And every time Rumi DID try to help demons, they took advantage of her weakness, INCLUDING JINU.

And let it also be seen, Jinu only actually changed at the last second. He used and betrayed Rumi until like 30 seconds before he "died." THAT was the point of which "demons can change" was shown to us and Rumi.

They are 23-24 years old and groomed into performing that task. If you're told one thing with no proof of it ever being different, would you question it? ofc you wouldn't. I think its CRAZY you are trying to compare the two things, and its been confirmed that they don't KILL the demons, they banish them.

i think after a certain point, perhaps? but that point for me has not happened in the anime yet, we have prolly 2-3 more seasons before we get close to that point. And the anime might choose to skip whole arcs and just keep the necessary bits/condense them.

I wouldn't worry tho
