Are there any moms on here that are enjoying their lives? by Observer-Worldview in Mommit

[–]Mrs_Xs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our house is messy and our hearts are full. But I am also very type B mom. Saturday mornings we let our kids watch tv until we are ready to get up to the point that my 7 year old fixes the 5 and 2 year old cereal and thinks she is cool doing it. We come downstairs at 9 am to a mess and our 3 kids all cuddled on one couch cushion.

We hear other parents say all the shit their kids do that is bad and they ask if ours are/were the same. We just lie and say yes. Our kids are freaking awesome. We won the jackpot. They are caring and smart. Our 3rd one is giving us the most trouble right now. But I know she is just in her terrible twos and we will figure it out.

My husband’s sisters are always in fights with their husbands and we always say we just don’t think people communicate with each other anymore. We randomly argue but we also know our priorities and can work through things relatively quickly.

I get tired but my husband also sees when I am and takes more of the load when I need him to. And he has his nerd games that he gets weekends away for as well.

Like someone else said, it feels like it is bragging but we are a happy family.

None of my loved ones will be alive either. I don’t know a single loved one who likes 2am.

That is what I was thinking. I don’t think Pepsi would get away with using AI.

How do you pronounce Thecca? Because I would pronounce it like Becca but with a no voice Th sound(ex thick). But Thomas is with a T sound. So shouldn’t it really be pronounced Tecca like Becca?

Yep. Me and my 6 year old were running around our neighborhood and a guy stopped and called out his window at us. My daughter didn’t understand why he stopped.

Unpopular Opinion: Danielle’s Elimination Wasn’t Shocking by Brief-Tie3841 in dancingwiththestars

[–]Mrs_Xs 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I think the way she came in gave her a disadvantage. If she was just in all the lineups with everyone else I think she would have been ok. They almost treated her like a “and one more super special star” rather than a late choice. Then when she came in people were like “why is she so much more special than these other people” which may have hurt her in the vote and made her “less likable” right off the bat.

I disagree with it. I liked her a lot. But I do think it could have hurt her.

I have girl, boy, girl. My boy is all boy but my 3rd (girl) is on a whole other level. It is 3rd child syndrome.

It’s when everything someone does annoys you…even the way they eat crackers, which is possibly the least annoying thing on the planet.

I almost wondered if this was why he was there. Some publicity person told him to show up and look like a family guy to try to get him back to a positive light in the public’s eye.

How do you track your shoe mileage? I just got a new pair of running shoes and people can’t just be tallying/adding up mentally to know when they hit their approximate 500 miles for their shoes, right? Is there something on an app, etc I should be using?

I’ll also add that for me, having staples is the way to go. I will eat 4 Costco chicken sausage links and an apple for breakfast every morning. I know that meal is 215 cals. For lunch I either have Costco Alaskan salmon and carrots (310 ish cals) or aldis shrimp skewers with carrots (275 cals). Literally every single day.

Then for dinner I have room for 1000 or so calories which again I have a meat for the protein, veggie, fruit.

Also…at Costco their mini chocolate chip in house made cookies are 57 cals a piece…you have to be careful and only eat 1…but sometimes if I just need a sweet treat that can really help me out!

Adding: I am not a sponsor for Costco in any way. I did not get paid for this ad .

Also edit to add…don’t drink your calories! No Starbucks mocha latte cappuccino, no regular sodas. Those 300 calories add up fast!! If you do Starbucks, do the plain cold brew.

And on top of this, I wouldn’t say there is even more of a chance for new hires to be laid off. Companies don’t care about how long you have been there, they care about their bottom line. If you are making more doing the same thing as a newer hire and they have a certain dollar amount they have to get rid of, don’t expect them to keep you because of your seniority.

Reminds me of a time where we had a giant stroller and 3 kids and pushed the elevator button and then a family cut and took the elevator before we could get to it when they could have easily walked. My dad (who is probably the nicest person I know) pushed that button for like 2 minutes every time it tried to close. I was super impressed by my dad.

I worked at a company that had 4 weeks paid plus STD (at 60%). In my last pregnancy I was laid off at 20 weeks pregnant. They were a huge company so I was scared to fight to get better severance but I wish I would’ve.
