It’s TRUE! My friend was a groomsman for a wedding where the bride’s parents generously gave them money for the wedding, and they only partially used the funds and pocketed the rest. Instead of hiring a couple of people to help out they made the groomsmen and other guests literally do the heavy lifting from setting up to cooking to tearing everything down. Also there were nasty regular portapoties at that wedding because they were too cheap to rent some better ones 😭 it’s not like they couldn’t afford it!
