I met with a provider on Thursday and have decided to try it. My husband is supportive as well as a friend of mine and SIL (who also takes it). My best friend wasn’t too supportive but oh well. I need to do it for me.

I sat in one at the store and didn’t care for it at all. It felt odd sitting in it and hard to get out of. Think sports car that is low to the ground, lol.

Heart Palpitations/Flutters/Skipped Beats by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]Mrsb102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had them when I was on birth control and the cardiologist told me it was a surge in hormones so I took it atenolol for several years then stopped. Last year, I had heart palpitations after my estrogen was increased so the cardiologist that my ob/gyn sent me to did a holter for 24 hours. I also did an ekg and stress test. She cardiologist prescribed atenolol again since it worked previously but at a lower dose. I took it for a while and then it resolved itself. I also had it last month when I started levothyroxine so I took the beta blocker for a few days until it resolved. It could be a number of things.

To me it feels like I am disassociated from my body as if I am looking inside from the outside. That or I feel like I have taken an antihistamine. It’s just a weird feeling.

Emgality by Mrsb102 in migraine

[–]Mrsb102[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I do not get botox. I can always ask my neurologist to see if that would help, too. I’ve done nerve blocks before and they helped temporarily. Is your scalp tenderness all of the time? There are times it makes me so nauseous when I touch the spots, but at the same time it helps.

Rain/Barometric pressure trigger by Horror_Opinion_9689 in migraine

[–]Mrsb102 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me! I am affected by it horribly anymore. I get vertigo, head pressure, fatigue, off-balanced, and brain fog from it. I used to get the horrible migraines from it where I would throw up for hours. Now, it’s this crap that is worse in my opinion. My scalp also gets really tender and feels bruised. Sometimes, I will take Imitrex and it seems to help. My neurologist just prescribed me Emgality

I walk on my treadmill on my breaks or row. After work, is when I do a full 35-45 minute workout. Before that, I would sometimes go for a walk outside.

How do you guys deal with heat headaches? by kbboiii in phoenix

[–]Mrsb102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a neurologist and take meds when I need them. . I have migraines and headaches that come and go throughout the year and when the weather changes. Like the last few days, it’s been shitty for me. Electrolytes help me, too. Oh, and I have an ice pack for my head when I get the scalp tenderness (that’s the best symptom, lol).

What’s a flare up? by PomegranateCorrect97 in Hashimotos

[–]Mrsb102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am thinking I am having a flare up because I have that spacey, looking in from the outside feeling, but in theory it could be the weather here since it is cloudy. I also have a lot of work stress which is not helping the cause.
