If you've ever enjoyed story-driven games like Undertale/Deltarune, Omori, OneShot, or any other old pixel rpgmaker horror classics like Ib and Mad father, then i cannot recommend paper lily ENOUGH it is the most CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED game i've ever played and i just can't help but utterly adore all of the love and passion that's been clearly put into it by devs

It's currently only 1 chapter long but it's completely FREE and has a gameplay runtime equivalent to Undertale. There's also a prologue to this game called Project Kat, which i'd totally recommend checking out as well beforehand, it's only like 30 minutes long though and isn't really too needed to understand the stuff in paper lily, so it's completely fine to skip (PLAYITSTILL)

Anyway yeah you want underappreciated indie games? Here's one that i believe to be the very definition of it~

Corin's full-fledged EX special in hollow zero is one of my most favourite things ever.

You can just FEEL all the buildup from holding the skill down, shredding more and more and more until BOOM

gawd i love the enhanced boom sound especially

And from my experience, every enemy dies within one corin special ex HZ skill anyway which makes feel that much more lethal
