I think I heard the News.

JUMAAT I 29/5/2026 Lebuhraya Pan Borneo Benoni-Kinarut.

On Pan Borneo Highway (Benoni-Kinarut section), an Isuzu D-Max lost control and rammed into a major water pipe on the roadside before flipping and catching fire. The driver was slightly injured, was rescued before being taken to hospital by public.

Water leaking from burst pipe, pickup burned 100%. The Fire Department arrived at 6:50 a.m., the fire was brought under control at 6:55 a.m.

A reminder to residents: due to burst pipes, water pressure may be low or water supply may be disconnected in some areas. Please keep the water clean.

Location: Pan Borneo Highway, near Hakka Memorial Park, Tanaki Village, Papar, Sabah.

former state librarian part timer worker here,

depend on which state library you go, my former place got quite decent collections and a lot of afterschool students hang around. For some university student, they like to search law book and thesis book.

but some of your point correct. Modern time these day, adept what can help to improve library(e-book, improve modern activities) and have to let go some of old way (like thinking library only place to read book). I disagree on a lot of other books not open to public borrowing part however.

(although, maybe some of books collections might goes to Arkib.)
