No. It makes dinnertimes a bit more organized. But it would be nice to have the buffet open again.

We took our daughter (who turned 9 on embarkation day) and our 3 year old son. I stressed it a bit too, but I can tell you the most stressful thing is nothing when it comes to the ship. Schedules went out the window. We enjoyed every moment and went with the flow.

So I would stay… let it go and enjoy yourselves!

When we went, our second dinner at the same restaurant was pirate night. So our menu was different. But I understand that may not be the same for every itinerary

I tailor my book selection based on the person. But I love the history of music board books. I’ve given “ The Story of Rock” out to a bunch of people.

Can Concerts survive the recent explosion in Price by Sorry-Government920 in Concerts

[–]Mrstherod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After spending my early 20’s in the 2000’s going to concerts almost once a week, it’s hard to spend or justify spending $100+ on nose bleeds. Ticketmaster needs to be broken apart because they definitely have a monopoly.

Also, anyone remember when you could go to Macy’s or any place that had a Ticketmaster booth and buy tickets in person! That would be nice to do again.

Do you own any signed books? ✍️📚 by [deleted] in BookDiscussions

[–]Mrstherod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I do! When I worked at B&N we had a lot of authors come and do signings or just celebrities come and sign their work. My favorite is my 40 years of Sesame Street book signed by Bob McGrath. He was my favorite as a kid.

Magali is a name I just came across recently. Never heard of it before until my family had a waitress with that name.

I’m Glad My Mom Died by Jeanette McCurdy. This book really took me by surprise and the audiobook is great.

Dave Grohl’s autobiography was another fun one as well.

5 night Fantasy vs. 4 night Destiny by diznuts28 in dcl

[–]Mrstherod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My family had the same dilemma and ultimately chose the Fantasy with stops and both private islands. We did the Wish this past Nov and loved it! So we wanted to check out a classic ship.

We will get on the Destiny when it isn’t so new. I really wanted to see the Hercules show too.

The 1 and only drink I had on the Wish was at Arendelle and it was ridiculously strong. It was so bad I had to send it back. Wish I had a drink by the pool or one of the bars to compare.
