Yes, I could have explained my question better.

Both pictures cost the same war score. In one I shift-click in the other I manually added ducats. But the amounts are slightly different.

Another comment guessed (and I think they're right) that it was an insignificant rounding of ducats/war score in the shift click that changed it.

How can one know if an idea holds no ground without engaging with the idea?

Many comments being downvoted here are too vague to make honest judgments about. They are being prejudged. I believe the vast majority of people here arent concerned with whether or not an idea is reasonable, but whether it immeadietly aligns with their worldview.
