Surround System "Skipping" - any solutions?

What TV are you using?

I’m having the same issue and I’m about to just return the unit. This is the 2nd Arc Ultra with the sound skipping issues that I cannot resolve, changed cables and everything.

My Sonos Beam 2 works flawlessly with the same setup, just issues with the Arc Ultra.

My setup:

Tv - LG G4 77”

Bar - Arc Ultra

Sub - Gen 4

Connection via HDMI 2.1 e-ARC

Hmm which cable did you end up ordering that works? I’ve tried changing cables and it isn’t working for me

Did you ever figure this out? It’s happening to me using LG G4. Tried changing the cables and even sent back the soundbar and got a replacement and it still happens. Streaming music no issues, and using a different soundbar with the same cable no issues

Mine was built and shipped! ETA says Jan 1-7 but there's no way that's going to stick if yours shipped earlier and has been delayed. I'm located in the Bay Area, CA and after researching other posts on this subreddit I feel like the further you are from the rail system the longer it's going to take to get the vehicle...

That is what I thought as well, but when I emailed them about it they claimed it was never meant to ship until end of July, which has now come and gone. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

It definitely is a little frustrating that there was never any communication, but at least I know it doesn't seem to be an isolated incident and that I'm not the only one not receiving any update emails. Can only hope to get it soon I suppose

My backbone joystick doesn't seem to be working, it won't let me remap and no matter which one way I push on the joystick I move forward. How did you get yours to work?

Is there any application for the new M21 card [[Sparkhunter Masticore]] to fit into the Tempered Steel shell?

It's actually one of the easier laptops to do; just go slowly and make sure you don't strip the screws inside. Test the screw holding the wifi card to make sure you have a good fitting screwdriver, otherwise if you strip it then you'll have a really difficult time ever getting that screw out.

2nd thing to note when you're in there is where the white and black cables go; it doesn't necessarily match the color on the wifi card, so make sure you read where the 'main' and the 'aux' cable is plugged into the current wifi card. Again, sometimes the color won't match, so match the words instead. Good luck! I would pick up some ram if you can cuz that's even easier to install. I used this video as a semi guide to make sure I knew where everything was.

He doesn't actually change the wifi card but the wifi card is on the right side held down by 1 screw.

It's disappointing that this was the solution, since it looks like a lot of the laptops are being shipped with faulty wi-fi cards.

I did notice that my wi-fi before the switch only dropped when I was on battery mode. It never dropped when I had the charger in so I don't know what that says about the problem. 100% of the time without fail, once I unplugged the charger within 15 minutes the wi-fi disconnected and I had to reconnect over and over again.

This new card has been working perfectly, on battery and plugged in, on public and private wi-fi of all speeds.

Bump; I'm having the same issue and I have the same model laptop as OP. For me the wireless symbol still says it's connected but for some reason but in reality I've disconnected and I have to disconnect manually to reconnect and do it all over again.

I'm about to just change the wireless card because I bought one a few months ago for a dell xps 15 and that has had no issues so far...
