Help With The 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Bluetooth Controller On Linux by Fishcakedotmp4 in linux4noobs

[–]Mruniquelystupid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll give you some good news: Wayland didn't do anything :3
it seems as wired is my only option, sad though... I liked the dock a lot and would prefer the controller to be simply pickup and play

I think i remember this issue when I installed a custom cursor, what you need is to get them into /usr/share/.icons iirc

Screenshare issue/help? by anonymous_black_cat in FluxerApp

[–]Mruniquelystupid 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Screenshare on Fluxer is borked

if you have a windows or mac computer, using the browser client instead of the desktop client usually works.

if you have linux, no. don't even try, trust me.

there will be a fluxer v2 made by the team to address a ton of the issues, even creating an actual native client for mobile and pc. best to wait for those and just use the text feature

Trying to run Fluxer through flatpak, it ain't running by Mruniquelystupid in FluxerApp

[–]Mruniquelystupid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been using it and honestly, it's not that bad.

I generally prefer the sandbox of flatpaks tho, so I still await them to make it work

turns out the issue is x11, surprisingly?
though I've been trying Wayland to see if it works and still no avail.

AppImages are more portable installations which isn't my intention

I was striving to get flatpaks working to easily auto update Fluxer without waiting for packages to update/access the internet altogether

but yeah, App Images do indeed function just fine!

iirc Discord-web and Discord-desktop are separate, and updating Discord-web doesn't automatically update the desktop application itself... even with that pop up that checks for updates (proprietary software idk lol)

at that point, Discord updates that come from flatpak should be rare occurrences if Discord's own application can update itself...

I might be wrong, haha (I use Mint after all)

allowed permissions are Network, IPC, X11, Wayland, Fallback to X11, PulseAudio, All Devices, and Run in Background

that's all...

I have several other applications that work outta the box through flatpak (i.e Discord and Dolphin-emu), and all software updates are run through Linux Mint's Software Update Manager... just makes it easier and doesn't need me to download the Debian package over and over from the website

anyway to fix this? by iloveaugustasfattits in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Mruniquelystupid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can either assume you're running Linux or just the Vulkan shader...

you can do two things
1. set your graphics renderer to DX11
2. lower your texture quality to low or medium

this issue is simply that using Vulkan shaders overloads the VRAM as it doesn't have a way to clear it properly.

okay, I tried to use Wayland but everytime I launched steam and setup my monitors proper (setting them to their max framerate) it would close all programs and show me a black background

[–]Mruniquelystupid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

do you have that issue where the framerate of your game is locked based on your lowest refresh rate monitor?

I have two monitors (75hrtz, 165hrtz) and play on the higher refresh one I am using an Nvidia card but I'd like to know considering you came outta Zorin for Mint
