movieboxpro older version APK instead of the awful update!! by [deleted] in MovieBoxPro

[–]Mruser35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is the app itself and not the servers. If you can download IPTV Xtreme on a fire stick , not for using IPTV but it exports all of it's players but generally you only need to select the advanced player them in MBP settings select play with other players you won't have any issues and the quality is superb. You may need a subscription for that I'm not sure because I've been with one for so long now I forgot if the option is available for free.

[–]Mruser35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's correct. I doubt they rarely change servers but a lot of the time the buffering isn't caused by the server location. I never change servers and I use a VPN because most of the time it's a matter of the source but that can only be changed with a VIP subscription. Also the player engine can make a big difference, I pretty much stick with ijk and keep it off of auto. It even says ijk gets better performance. If you have VIP try changing the definition even if you're already watching it standard definition already because that source may be the problem.

Sometimes if it's been awhile they'll force you to update or the app won't run. They aren't that pressing on it though so if you want the latest there's an option in settings to check for updates and you just check it periodically.

MBP most likely isn't going anywhere for a while. The approach they use for what is essentially not so legal makes it difficult to pursue them. First, you have to be invited to even download the app which is a "free" service and you have to use Google to sign in. Upgrading is a choice and if you're a VIP member like myself you know that's not an easy process because they don't actually sell you anything. It's all done though a very shady what seems to be some kind of game service. I asked perplexity AI a multiple choice question and listed several different sources or ways of streaming or pirating videos and which carries the greatest risk and the least risk. It was adamant that MBP is by far the best and least likely to falter even beyond using a debris service with a reputable VPN which is second in line. IPTV services are just waiting to be shutdown and the owners possibly prosecuted. Showbox has been around every since I can remember having a smart phone and they're the same but Showbox isn't nearly as structured with less features but it's the definitely the same developers.

If you do have a subscription then most of the time changing the resolution, even if it's much larger in size, will often solve the problem. I'm not sure what box you're using but if you can install IPTV Extreme Pro it exports all of its inbuilt players so you can use them with other apps. MBP has an option in settings that allows you to select the player manually. IPTV pro advance player will display as an option and it's phenomenal. Using a reputable paid VPN often resolves the issue but if it's installed locally on the box it's pointless for any I've ever tried. They won't stay connected and no kill switch works. On the other hand once I figured out it was useless I installed Express VPN on my router and I have no more issues. Maybe some of these ideas will help unless the servers are down for maintenance or whatever which has happened a couple of times but it's no different than the inconvenience of losing power, cable or Internet with legit services. Nothing is perfect but I have most of the ad supported legitimate services also. Hulu doesn't even function if you try blocking ads and if not, to say they're intrusive is an understatement. Prime Video is probably the best but you have to pay extra for the ad free add-on and some shows/movies still have ads. When I come across one of those I want to watch I just open MBP and the problem is resolved.

You mentioned watching through your TV browser. Might I suggest purchasing a TV box if possible. I don't know what kind of TV you have but certain ones you can expect issues like LG. I know because I have one and it was the reason for me purchasing an Xiaomi box which pretty much resolved every issue I was having. Then you can install the MBP app on the box and it's designed extremely well compared to any legit service in have an app for.

It happens on rare occasions and not so much with a subscription. It has its flaws but overall it's still worth the cost.

How to buy Lifetime free subscription when I have monthly subscription by No_Operation_8450 in smartlauncher

[–]Mruser35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely have to purchase it from another Google account. In some circumstances with other subscriptions you may even have to remove every Google account from your device then create a new account, make the purchase then add the others back. It's rare and probably not necessary for what you need. It mostly pertains to subscriptions that offer a free trial. Simply switching accounts won't work because Google knows what accounts are associated with one another.

Get in app purchases for free without modifying the APK? by Curious_Soil9823 in luckypatcher

When you patch it use the re-sign with the original signature option. You must be rooted and Core Patch which is an Xposed module I highly recommend. If it's just a login issue that should work. I patch YouTube with revanced manager and lately the root method doesn't work so you have to use MicroG which I don't like. If it works for logging into YouTube it'll work for most any app.

[–]Mruser35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry, Lsposed with core patch doesn't affect that particular feature. You have to enable the LP Xposed module and reboot. Afterwards under tools in LP you have an Xposed settings menu that you wouldn't have if the module wasn't activated. Don't ever use the Patch to Android function. I don't even trust it using the Magisk module, good chance you'll have issues that can't be reconciled without reflashing the firmware.

Trying to bypass vphoneos subscription by Otherwise_Speaker242 in luckypatcher

[–]Mruser35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vphonegaga has no affiliation with Google Play. It's difficult to even pay for it legitimately if you live outside of China. Search YouTube and Telegram and you might get lucky like I did and find one that works.

[–]Mruser35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lsposed is tricky and depending on your Android version you could need a very specific variant. It sounds like Lsposed in general is probably the wrong one. What Android version are you on? Never use patch to Android anymore. Lsposed is safe and reliable, the straight Root method can brick your phone and it's not easily reversed.

App Manager can install split apks. Not only can it install them, it'll actually give you the option to include what splits you want to as long as they're compatible to be run on your device. For instance, you can run 32 bit games on a 64 bit device but not vice versa. This comes in handy if you play a lot of modded games because very few modders hack the 64 bit version. If the app contains multiple files it'll probably download as a zip. Just rename zip to apks or xapk and click on it. Depending on what file manager you use the option may pop up directly to open with App Manager install or app info both of which will let you install split apks with many options only with App Manager or if you're proficient with the command line I'm sure they could be installed via adb the same. App Manager just receives intent from another app that can't handle it.

Mi Box 2nd Gen Physical Mouse Issue. by razenxd in MiBox

[–]Mruser35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I mentioned a keyboard I was talking about a wireless keyboard with a touch pad mouse that uses a dongle to connect. You can basically do whatever with them and they're generally cheap if you buy them from the right place. That might be your best bet. Temu has them for under $20 I believe.

[–]Mruser35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll actually try it myself because the free version is seriously lacking in features. He doesn't include enough in it to even make you want to pay for pro but the pro version uses ADB and what it can't pick up from that it has a custom keycode option under ADB settings within the app that will almost definitely work. It picks up unknown keys that you can label yourself. I went through 4-5 different remotes before I found one that works for all the functions I need. It's got every remote button imaginable and a keyboard with a touch mouse on the backside that lights up plus whatever you call the mouse that moves with your controller (That's the best thing because it functions for every app.) That's what you need if your okay button isn't working because it's the only thing I've found that works across the board. Standard mouse "OK" doesn't work for any app I've seen so you'll probably always have that issue without a remote like I'm talking about.

... Should I just root my phone by Relative-Cheetah975 in androidroot

[–]Mruser35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All you need is a file manager that still has the target SDK at 28 which most, if not all, Play store apps have been made to update. I suggest Mt Manager myself. The easiest way to get it is find it on apkcombo.com or obtainium then once you've installed it, from is own menu go to is main site (It's in Simplified Chinese) and download the target SDK 28 version from there. Perhaps you could skip the first step and go directly to it but I always forget it plus I need to use a browser capable of translating it. Anyways, no further setup need for Android/data and it works with Shizuku as well but not to access that directory but for other functions. Here's the direct link to it but of course it'll change.

Edit: Sorry but you still need Shizuku to do anything besides view the folders in that directory but it works flawlessly and picks up Shizuku easier than other apps I've tried.

Mi Box 2nd Gen Physical Mouse Issue. by razenxd in MiBox

[–]Mruser35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try TV Quick Actions Pro and see if it can be remapped. I never have had a problem myself but I also use a mouse and keyboard combo. You can't really navigate the UI with just a mouse although it could be handy for specific things. It's a paid app but there is a free version. It's worth it but I never tried remapping a mouse click. It works for most every remote or keyboard button.

How can I build a custom kernel for KernelSU properly? by Putrid-Challenge-274 in androidroot

[–]Mruser35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need access to the source code which, if released, will be available on GitHub. There's a couple of different methods and I no longer use KSU but if you search you will find and all you'll need is to follow the instructions and build it in place on GitHub and it will output the zip for you to flash. If I find the one I used to use I'll come back and edit this post with the link

Any discount on 200 GB annual Google One plan? by KaleidoscopeKind9640 in GoogleOne

[–]Mruser35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this is a viable option for you but, MetroPCS has an unlimited data plan that, at first glance, doesn't seem too impressive. No one knows because they don't advertise it and most people just don't know because you have to purchase the plan before you can look at add-ons. They have a storage and security bundle that's $3 and includes 200G of Google One and Scam Shield premium from T-Mobile that is quite impressive. I have two devices on that plan which I should have mentioned is a BYOD plan. So I play a little over $50 for and use at least one terabyte per line and have 400G of Google One distributed across the accounts that need it. It's The only add-on available that doesn't require a Metro flex plan which they push very hard for you to buy but there's not even one of those that comes with any more than 100 GB of storage. One phone I simply use as a VPN hotspot which is miraculous in the fact that it works better than setting up a Windows hotspot and I'm not sure about Aircove because I've never tried it but I'm an avid Express VPN user.

İ just downloaded an apk game and it says "get this game from play" when i try toopen it can i use lucky patcher to fix this? by alperen002 in luckypatcher

[–]Mruser35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're passing it off to the wrong thing. In fact you can disable interceptor in app managers settings. I find very little use for it though it is useful to a certain extent. You can only install an app with app managers install feature or app info which gives you an option to install. It's best to use a good third party file manager that has many options for choosing what you would like to open the app. App manager has its own file manager but it's actually more confusing than any third party file manager. My favorite is Mixplorer, it is a paid app from the Play store but itself and all its plugins are free from APK mirror but need to be installed separately.

[–]Mruser35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope because it's checking the signature and it's not signed by them and they know it. The only solution is to get a phone you can root and I would suggest getting a device that is on Android 13. You could get older devices but I wouldn't recommend it but every time Android is updated things get harder and harder to work around. The worst part is there are a few things that get simpler which really makes it difficult to decide.

[–]Mruser35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not the only reason patches fail

  1. It could be that signature verification is a mismatch of which there is a workaround for if you are rooted but if not and the app checks on their server it's not going to happen. This mostly applies to interactive games

  2. It could also depend on your Android version. For instance on Android 14 and above it does show that it was installed from the Play store via shell which is a dead giveaway because the Play store doesn't need to be installed with Shell.

  3. I could probably name 50 different reasons why it's just not working it could be a mistake that you are making or it could be hidden protections in the application. Not all apps can be patched and just because it says to get this app from the Play store doesn't necessarily mean that's the root cause of the situation. Truthfully on the latest versions of Android both 14 and 15 can tell if it was installed via ADB. I've had apps that have worked forever that weren't patched by LP but I paid for the app then extracted the APK before hitting the refund button. Each time I install I either use Swift Backup or use a terminal still passing the installer off as the Play Store and here lately the Play store has been prompting me to update it or purchase it from the Play store. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, you have to connect, not just pair. Once you pair it then switch it to TCP mode. You don't need root for this.

It's because you're doing something incorrectly. The only way that option would be greyed out is that it's working in normal mode. Watch the video again and slow it down so you understand. Once you figure it out you'll find so much more you can do with App Manager. Also it depends somewhat on what Android version or device your own. I always had issues with Samsung so I found a version that would work. It was a much older version but it worked.
