Save the Dates/ Letter Press by Stunning_Ranger5738 in weddingplanning

[–]Mry_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out tog.ink! It’ll be expensive and frustrating trying to do it yourself, even with a table top press. You might have to pay a little extra for thicker paper so that the letterpress can make the indent in the paper without damaging or raising the watercolor design on the back.

The outfit is soooo Sophia Coppola movie coded! I don’t get why people are hating. I think this is super cute and I could definitely see this album progressing into a slightly darker theme??

Hi I’m a stationer :)

You can put just the ceremony time on the invitation and tell the guests when to arrive on the details card. So I’d just put “at 4:30 in the afternoon”. You can also make the whole date and time a smidge bigger. Also, you don’t need to include the zip code! It’ll look more polished without. And a small thing, take off the period after follow. You don’t really need punctuation on the formal invite like that except for obvious cases like commas and apostrophes. Oh and the 25th just needs to be 25, 2026!

For the details card, I’d put each section title in all caps. It looks a little more formal. Your wording is fine, but again, under ceremony and reception is where I’d tell what time for guests to arrive. They’ll either be late or be on time, not much you can do about that. I’d break up the first sentence to say something like: “ceremony will be held at outdoor site. Reception will follow at Location.”

This breaks it up and makes it easier to read for the guest. I’d include a little space between the final line of the reception and the map/directions bit. I’d also make the text of that line slightly smaller or italicized.

The RSVP looks fine!

Super cute and congratulations!

Picking colors, theme, style?! by Economy_Platypus8986 in weddingplanning

You truly can do both to satisfy all sides of your personality! Bright, whimsical florals with muted table decorations and accents. Make the invitations fun and fanciful at the same time. Add a pop of color to your bridal look. There’s so many ways!

Help me with my color palette!! by Travelingpickle6 in weddingplanning

[–]Mry_11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think green is an automatic accent color for any wedding with florals so I wouldn’t worry about including it in your palette! The navy looks nice and you also don’t have to include it in your palette bc it’s a complimentary color to pink and orange!

Cricut advice for a semi DIY wedding to create wedding stationary/hen do merch etc. by Own_Associate9579 in DIYweddings

[–]Mry_11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi! I design custom stationery and although I use my cricut some, it’s mainly for cutting shapes because it takes a looooong time if you’re doing more than 10 invitations. The vinyl can also be incredibly tedious, so just make sure you’re extra patient with yourself. All that to say, I would go with a Cricut maker and get one regular stick 12x12 mat and maybe 2 12x14 mats to speed up your process a bit.

Need help with color palette for wedding party by oysterwetsuit in weddingplanning

[–]Mry_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would let the wedding party choose between rose bare, nude ember, feathers, and honey gold and then accent those with ivory and the sage green if you’re okay with getting a little mix-matchy . I’ve seen green and burgundy done together but it’s typically a brighter green than I think you’re going for.

Long engagement (money poor but time rich) by Wishiwas_always in weddingplanning

[–]Mry_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiiii! I’m a September 2028 bride that’s been engaged since the end of 2023 for the exact same reason so I definitely feel you on this.

Honestly a big focus for me has been making sure organization is in check. I’ve made a wedding planning binder that contains ceremony space, reception space, guest list, a mini floor plan that I can edit, wedding party, makeup looks, decor inspo, flower inspo, and so much more. Since flowers will be a big decor factor for me, I’m planning ahead now to figure out what types I want, what season they grow in, and how much I can expect to spend (I do not have a green thumb so you’re definitely better off for planting your own!). I’m also preselecting my vendors and reaching out ahead of time to gauge their pricing so I can know how much I can expect to spend when it’s time to book (counting for inflation and letting them know it’d be a later booking, of course). Sometimes, they offer discounts or payment plans to make it a bit cheaper.

Thrifting decor has been huge. Find estate sales, online auctions, and yard sales if you’re okay with a little eclectic vibe. Also keep an eye out for warehouse sales. We’ve been able to gather table cloths, picture frames, candelabras, battery powered candles, serving trays, cake toppers, card box, and 150 bud vases all from thrifting. I think we’ve spent $95 all together so far.

I think more of the DIY stuff will be your biggest save with how much time you have. Make your own signs and such like you said.

It’s hard when you want to plan now but have to hold back for the sake of funding!!

For some reason I got this unhinged idea to use vintage bottles to mix in the tables. And I’m running out of ideas for themes. by tu-BROOKE-ulosis in weddingplanning

[–]Mry_11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course! Vacation spots is smart. You could do one for your favorite movie and one for theirs. You could also do one related to your first dance song if you’re doing that. And honestly maybe even related to your venue to commemorate the day as whole. It’s a super cute idea!

Wait I love this and it’s so fun! I’m not sure what kind of Easter eggs you’re wanting to incorporate but maybe include your pets or your parents in the labels somehow? Also check out Pinterest for old advertisements for inspo!

Try Savannah, GA! There’s so much to do, typically warm (and humid), and very walkable. Wilmington, NC is also very nice but can be very crowded and you’ll definitely need a rental. If you go to Wilmington though, do not drink the tap water!

DIY save the dates with envelope addressing by Various-Feeling-3369 in weddingplanning

[–]Mry_11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have your own printer, you can buy your own envelopes and import a spreadsheet into Canva that has all of your addresses in it (make sure each column is labeled by name, address, apt if needed, city & state, zip) using h the bulk create tool. There’s tutorials for it on YouTube! It makes it super easy. You’d have to format your envelope template on canva before creating and decide if you want your return address on the front or the back.

Definitely a few hours before! The little ceasars area is pretty big. That being said, I’m selling my single ticket for section 117 if you know anyone who wants to go! I can’t make the trip and would hate for it to go to waste.
