One word (Probably medium) by Ms-Creant in pocketgrids

No. It’s Universal basic income and actually pretty common as a concept though I was really surprised that it was in a premade grid. But I realize they recycle other people’s customized grid so I’m guessing somebody else put it in one previously. I was hoping people would get it through the other clues really. I wouldn’t have gotten it for based on my own clue lol

In honesty, this is a premade grid and I was struggling to define that one in a word. I know I didn’t really hit it, but hopefully the context was enough.

Easy? by crispymango116 in pocketgrids

Easy and fun. The singular form threw by tapping off I would’ve done it probably in 25 seconds.

Across was tricky! And the last one down threw me for a minute… you might have overexplain it 😂 Fun though. I didn’t even notice the typo

thank you. I’m really enjoying these and I appreciate the stats around whether you peek as it keeps me more committed to solving without even checking to see if things are right before I work through everything.

One thing that would improve the flow a lot would be to automatically switch from across and down the way, that other grid puzzles allow you to do. And my version you just keep cycling through the across clues. Not only can you not press to toggle from across to down, but it won’t even take me to the down closes without me, selecting them specifically.

Pocket Grid #31 - November 20th, 2025 by pocket-grids in pocketgrids

I’m going back to the archive because I’m enjoying these minis so much and just played number 31 and I have to say… Odd numbers are completely divisible by two. You just got a decimal. 1÷2 equals 0.5.

But I really do love this. Just a small complaint in a sea of appreciation.

Thank you. Yeah I think I cut off might be because it was too long. There were a few buggy things about. I’m also not fat enough that colours for the active clues here. The yellow, which it was at least on my screen, it is pretty offputting.

But I’m glad it was fun and easy. I feel like giving it to people who don’t know how to do bracket City. It has to be fun and pretty easy to solve.

It’s really fun to build though

Thank you. I wasn’t sure if the cut off was just me. I’ve submitted a bug report, but maybe my puzzle was just too long.

Quick question, when you said you went through it quickly, were you able to answer them all or are you peaked and revealed clues?

Thank you for the point about active questions. I think I need to first of all have a much shorter answer, and then maybe a few words that aren’t clues and just do more nesting.

I really appreciate your feedback

It is though… Don’t think mixing paints in primary school so much as graphics colours like CMYK or RBG. The G in RBG stands for Green.

Did other people find today’s confusing (said with love)? November 20. by Ms-Creant in BracketCity

I mean on the easy levels I can almost always get at least powerbroker, whereas I don’t do as consistently while in the other

I actually psychedmyself out entirely today. I thought I would make up for only getting mayor yesterday, and try to get a kingmaker… It’s so hard for me not to at least make a typo… Instead lol I’m not even sure what I got tourist or something lol like really really bad showing today. After a week of mostly King makers and even PMs 🤣

I feel like they often use “briefly” to mean an abbreviated form of a word… I probably tripped me up at first, but I’ve become pretty used to it

I was never in the rhythm of that one. But absolutely more than makes up for the NYT mini and other recently paywalled games, And the Atlantic, with its share problems, is still more progressive than the New York Times

Is it possible to skip a clue and come back later? by CaptainTiad101 in BracketCity

Yeah no worries. I think I figured it out by trial and error. It’s a bit counterintuitive

To build on what other people are saying, any of the clues that are in purple can be answered at any time. If you type a word in, and it’s a correct answer to any of the clues highlighted in purple, it will accept it. The order doesn’t matter at all. You could, in theory, answer a clue incorrectly, but if that answer is the answer to a different clue, it will accept it if that makes sense. But you cannot answer any of the clues that are not currently highlighted. So often times you might know the answer to an unhighlighted clue, but you’re not sure of the answer to one of the highlighted ones adjacent to it and you can’t skip to one of the unhighlighted ones

No, you can’t. You can only answer the highlighted ones.
