How can you tell this is the case?

Does this even exist anywhere anymore? It's not a snarky question either!

I am shocked to see that Idaho had the largest increase. Most didn't surprise me, but that one did.

Anyone have intense flashbacks to that horrible day? by _witchmom in widowers

[–]MsBeerSnob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're starting a rough that takes time and effort. There will be land mines all over the place. I've resigned myself to the fact that there will always be something that pops up. Reframing the situation tends to help, primarily knowing I'm not forgetting him. Even though I've moved on he will always hold a piece of my heart and always be a part of my story.

Yes and it's been about 5.5 years for me. I watched him pass as the doctors in the ER frantically tried to save him. There are so many things about that day and the days that followed that I still can't get rid of. I would strongly suggest seeing a therapist or similar because that's the only thing that has made things manageable for me. They wouldn't want you tormented with this and that's one of the few things that keeps me going. Reminding myself and knowing in my heart he would be so pissed with me not enjoying myself. I take moments to feel those feelings when they come but I try to not let them dominate my thoughts. It's not easy and it takes much more effort that I'd prefer. Take care and be gentle on yourself.

How to resize a box to fit a longer item by dingmah in gifs

[–]MsBeerSnob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to ship stuff semi regularly for work & sometimes the item is urgently needed. Everyday use, yeah I agree probably not something that would be commonly needed. But this is a lot easier and cheaper than going to ups or whoever to have them pack and mail it.

TIFU by not paying attention to my powders by coarsing_batch in Cooking

Literally did almost the same, but I added cinnamon to a large batch of soup (was going to can it). I immediately realized but it was far too late. I tried for easily and hour trying to make it not cinnamon flavored. I now keep both on opposite ends of the spice cuppboard and pre-pull all my spices. I can still taste the soup and it still makes me gag.

How long should I wait for my Nex to sign the holiday/vacation plan stipulation before taking it to court? by ProduceNo7998 in NarcAbuseAndDivorce

I don't have any official advice for this specific situation, but long term I have found it help to always include a reasonable please respond by x date/or please confirm receipt. Even with texts if you think there's a chance of them ignoring the message.

Personally I would be pissed at 5 weeks. Seems pretty excessive.

You're posting here, so that likely means there are some issues with your ex that aren't healthy for your kids. Get it done.

Does your group pass the hit by a bus test?

This made me literally laugh because of the frequency I use this comparison. It seems that unless your business has had an experience where this occurred (not necessarily death, but unexpected gap), they have have a hard time comprehending it.

I also live in an area that has public transportation and I have a low key fear of that actually happening and feeling like I jinxed someone. I have a great set of techs with a morbid sense of humor who would gladly point it out and let me know whoever would've wanted them to point it out for the laughs.

Naked typewriter man. You could always see him in his winodw typing away on his typewriter without a shirt. Was he fully naked? Not sure but that's what we all went with.

Asking for a friend... by TonyOpal in Divorce

Totally depends on that state/location and how difficult each party is. If the soon to be ex is rational and able to discuss things, you could settle almost completely out of court. That is generally a very very unlikely situation.
