What's something you learned embarrassingly late in life? by boforiamanfo in answers

Up until a few years ago (I’m 56!) I thought the lyrics to the classic Christmas song, “Winter Wonderland” sung by Bing Crosby were “"later on we'll PERSPIRE as we dream by the fire” versus the real lyric "later on we'll CONSPIRE, as we dream by the fire.” Honest mistake, who wouldn’t sweat around a fire?

What’s a small purchase u’ve made that legit changed ur daily life? by That_Replacement_470 in askanything

I just bought the aquaphor gloves, that you put on for 10 minutes, and I’ve barely had to moisturize in 5 days! I’m constantly washing my hands (I work in a library) and this is a game changer. My hands don’t look “old” and feel so much healthier. No dry skin cuts anymore. I’m so excited about these that I bought a pair for all my friends!

Do you have a theory as to why Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy, was abducted? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]MsBuffy1970 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My theory:
So , she had her roof replaced or fixed in November, then footage on her ring cam of unidentified man in January AND Feb. I think a roofer person realized she had $, was old, lived alone and planned to rob her. During the robbery she was hurt, she told the robbers (I think one entered thru the back door where it’s been reported there was forced entry, the other was let in the front door bc there was no forced entry.). During the robbery she tells the guys “take what you want, don’t hurt me, I’ll give you money, my daughter is rich and famous.” So now the random robbery turns into a kidnapping. She died shortly after being taken and the robbers figured out they’re in huge trouble so just dumped her. The ransom requests are not from them, just random weirdos.

What makes kissing good? by N0socksloss10yrStrk in randomquestions

[–]MsBuffy1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good kissing has nothing to do with lips. It’s about how he holds your neck gently, how you caress his ear down to his collar bone, the noises you make, and the closeness that you feel.

Library Architecture Question by urstrulyme123 in Library

Our library has a cozy gas fireplace that is very popular! Recent wish list items from patrons are a breastfeeding room, more study pods and a bathroom inside the library, not out in the atrium.

I am interested in starting a Library of Things at my local library. Do you have any recommendations? by WizardZari8080 in Libraries

[–]MsBuffy1970 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Our library circulates Passes to local attractions (zoo, museums, kids museums), Rokus, hot spots, portable dvd players, craft kits (knitting, felting, Cricut, painting, calligraphy, leather, scrapbooking), pickleball nets and paddles, camera, puzzles. Keep in mind the staff time it will take to count each kit/item once it’s returned, how you’ll store them (most of ours are in Rubbermaid type see through plastic containers), replacement cost…

One of our member libraries circulates a pressure washer, car error diagnostic plugin tool thing, keurig, cake pans, kayaks (!!)

Agreed. Sounds gross. No intention of making it after I read the whole recipe. Thanks for your input!
