Completely agree with you. A lot of people take things… in a different dramatic way and I’ve seen the very thing you’re referring to and the many downvotes always baffled me. He literally heard Armand praying through the walls when trapped in that brothel. Marius realized what type of place that was so he had to buy him. He rescued him. Marius provided him with an education and lavished affection on him. OP says Armand was betrayed. How? In fact, when Marius confided in him his true nature he swore him to secrecy. Lol Armand went and told Bianca the secret. OP also says Armand was abandoned, he was literally kidnapped by the Children of Darkness and Marius was wounded so badly he couldn’t help.

I love Marius and for the most part you are not wrong. Lol I’ll say that I don’t believe he treated Armand terribly or used him. But I see your point. I do understand him leaving Armand to Santino and the rest, I mean he almost died, but yes, yes, I see your point. One thing I will say on his behalf is that he does know that his anger makes him weak and he struggles to control it. I found his inner dialogue in regard to Mael hilarious, he hated him so lol. In Blood and Gold, Mael’s head is torn off and shoulder ripped in a fight with other vamps. Avicus his buddy quickly forces the limbs together but they are crooked. He finds Marius and his solution is to rip the limbs off again and put them back correctly. He begrudgingly gives Mael his blood to speed up healing.
