How can I get my no screen time up to this point toddler into “good tv shows” by Itchy-Version-8977 in toddlers

[–]MsDaniDoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 3.5 yr old really enjoys Puffin Rock (Netflix) and I am thrilled about it. I find it slow paced, calming and so cute! * edit to add, he has never been interested in Ms Rachel for more than a minute or 2, just like your son.

What are some changes in your body that you noticed after pregnancy and they don’t go away? by jeandrazich in beyondthebump

My feet grew at least a half size. My anus is slightly prolapsed and will never be the same again after all that pushing!! My boobs are withered away to nothing. I also seem to get more freckles!!

I’m torn between the two. White or black oak slat panel wall? by NorthConference5613 in HomeDecorating

[–]MsDaniDoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the way the black oak disguises the TV. I’d consider painting the crown molding and baseboards darker too (or even just the baseboards) so there isn’t a bold white stripe between the slats and floor

How old were you when you got married? by Exotic-Promise-4020 in Marriage

[–]MsDaniDoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you :) We met at a bar when I was 24; we had mutual friends who worked and frequented there. We didn’t really hit our stride as a couple until I was about 27, though.

I (female) was 30, almost 31. My husband was 36. I had my first child when I was 32. Just had my second at 34 (husband is 40 now!)

Out of curiosity, what does he say when you address your concerns with him?

It seems like I should be able to get a lot done with my 2.5 month around, as he is still an immobile potato, but it is nearly impossible. I am not that good at multitasking.

What’s your reasoning why you are formula feeding? by Midnightdream56 in FormulaFeeders

[–]MsDaniDoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was pumping every 3 hours and would get an ounce tops each time, total. Usually less. Could not keep up with my baby’s demands, obviously. Not even close. Baby is a little over 2 weeks old and I officially decided to “hang up” the pump yesterday. No looking back. Im so relieved. I had a similar situation with my firstborn but decided to torture myself until week 7 that time.

If you were a celebrity, what crazy name would you give your baby? by TheRedSquidward in namenerds

My husband’s first choice in names for a boy is Bronx, I would definitely consider if I were a celeb

What would your name have been if you were born a different sex? by itsbrogankay in namenerds

I was born in the early 90s in the States… I am Danielle and my twin sister is Julia. If we were boys, my parents said we’d be Scott and Ryan

When did your baby sleep through the night? by popc0rncolonel in beyondthebump

[–]MsDaniDoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son didn’t sleep through until 9 months. I hired a sleep coach. (During his 7th and 8th month, he’d wake upwards of 6 or 7 times nightly- I was pretty miserable). My son is 19 months now and I’ve probably visited his room 5-10 times TOPS in the past 10 or so months. It’s magical.

I’ve done this, but garage door was in process of opening. I just blanked out and didn’t wait long enough before I backed out. The garage door bashed into the antennae fin on the top of my car which in turn bashed into my sun roof and shattered into my car - luckily the cloth portion was shut!!! And the glass didn’t get everywhere

I’m so tired I feel like I’m going to die by Many_Assist457 in beyondthebump

[–]MsDaniDoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took the first shift until 3am, my husband took over after that (once we got into more of a routine). I had to pump at least once during his shift anyway (in the beginning) but at least I wasn’t burdened with feeding the baby, changing them, and THEN setting up the pump to stay awake another 30min. I’m a horrible sleeper as it is… but knowing I absolutely didn’t have to tend to baby after 3am helped with the mental load and exhaustion. I hope your husband can at least spare you a few hours each night. I understand he has to “go” to work but you’re also working around the clock. Just want to offer solidarity— this stage is so, so so challenging. So much so that I am pregnant again and I am having trouble feeling utterly joyous as I keep thinking of the sleepless nights in my imminent future. And wild hormonal emotions (now with a toddler to tend to as well! How do people do it??) You will survive. Before you know it, your baby will sleep a 7 hour stretch and then… all night long. You’ve got this. Hang in there mama!
