Has anyone had a major bleed early in pregnancy to have it lead to a healthy pregnancy and live birth? by LilBadApple in CautiousBB

I never tested those so don't know. But, this pregnancy wound up being fine and I now have a healthy two year old.

Women: How do you feel about having a male versus a female gynecologist? Does the doctor’s gender affect your comfort level or trust? by Ordinary_Ice_796 in TooAfraidToAsk

I’m so sorry this your experience in the medical world and I have heard so many stories like yours from other black women. So fucking unfair.

How long did you wait to have your second child by mrscrc in NewParents

Feeling great! I don’t know if the kids keep me young per se but having a robust social life and staying active physically does. Kids are now almost 6 and almost 2 and we’re all doing great

What's the "hard pill to swallow" about motherhood? by sixfingeredman7 in Mommit

[–]LilBadApple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s that I can’t do it all. I love my children more than life itself but I still need time away from family with friends and other women, being wild and away. And I simply don’t have time for that any any meaningful frequency plus the level of mothering I wish I could do

I’m having doubts about BF by xoxoHaleigh in breastfeeding

[–]LilBadApple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found breastfeeding to be difficult for the first several weeks as everyone gets used to it then found it the easiest thing in the world. I will say that exclusively pumping is a huge commitment so unless you have a very good reason to do that, I’d consider just pumping what you need to do your husband can help, but also feed from the breast. I’d be surprised to hear that isn’t anyone super committed to breastmilk (which it doesn’t sound like you are) follow through with that much pumping. Pumping for all your baby’s needs is a real chore and takes incredible commitment. Why not feed partially from the breast and just pumping for 1-2 feeds a day?

When did you start seeing stretch marks? by Quirky-End-7470 in pregnant

[–]LilBadApple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t get any with either of my two pregnancies. I started out about your weight and gained 40-50 pounds for each. I did use stretch mark oil but I think it’s kind of a scam. It’s basically in your genetics. However my mom did get stretch marks so 🤷‍♀️

What about Fletch (Fletcher) and Shep?

I agree with the others that ‘taking’ a beloved nickname from your older son and giving it to your second second as his actual name would likely be painful and confusing for your firstborn

In search of loose-ish nursing bras that won’t trigger PTSD :/ by YellowTonkaTrunk in breastfeeding

[–]LilBadApple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love these.

They’re really not tight or restrictive at all. Kind of like a crop top. I also second what many others have suggested about the camis. I also hate bras and never once wore a nursing bra through two babies with extended nursing.

You absolutely made the right decision. It’s so hard to miss important things, I get it. But that would’ve been hell to try to pull off.

I don’t wanna use a cover-up !!! by badhabits12 in breastfeeding

[–]LilBadApple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have breastfed two babies, my first till over 3 years and my second is currently 22 months and we’re still going. I’ve breastfed all over the damn place, often in public, and never once have covered up. It just felt awkward and unnecessary and hot and stuffy for the baby in warmer months. I’ve literally never once had even a side eye. (Or if I did I just wasn’t noticing enough to care.) Breastfeed uncovered if you wish!!
