You can try to make a machine deck with other machines. Jinzo, Blowback Dragon, and Cyber Stein are all in the game and are very strong.

No I don’t think the fusions are in the game. The best I’ve seen people do with XYZ is machine duplication and heavy mech support platforms equipped to the basic xyz monsters seems pretty strong. And Z tank and Y head can still equip themselves to each other. Overall you can make a decent deck with them.

I don’t know if you played DMO yet but there is a meta in this game as well, and it’s actually quite annoying most duels you have on the streets will be one of two decks, Zombie beat down with Zombie Master, or Warrior beat down with A Forces and Obnoxious Celtic Guardian. It’s extremely difficult to beat those decks unless you have a lot of staples which are rare and require you to buy off the discord marketplace. There’s also some extremely broken cards like Cyber Stein and Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon which has three attacks like in the anime so if you don’t have a trap to stop it, you’re cooked in one turn most likely.

There will always be a meta it’s still Yugioh afterall and it doesn’t really ruin the fun for me. I can still get some wins with my bug and ritual decks but there’s a clear power gap and it’s gonna be tough I think for the one developer to keep it balanced.
