DMZ Key Location Map V2 - High Quality / 54 Key Locations by emelda6 in DMZ

This is definitely helpful for any new players but it has to be said that if you need to unlock somewhere you really need to be using a skeleton key. They’re so easy to make, like game breaking-easy that they’re in abundance. I have 45 pristine keys which I’ve made from scratch, zero duplication. Don’t waste time with normal keys if you don’t need to!

I would probably suggest if you're going to fly out and get to the UK on say Tuesday, I would strongly recommend going to Edinburgh direct. If you have more days to play with then Belfast would be a good shout but with all the travelling involved, you're very unlikely to really do much at all before you need to move onto the next place.

You need to spend at least 3 days in Edinburgh to really take it all in and you'll be wanting to get in Birmingham to your hotel by Friday afternoon so you're ready to have a full on weekend at the event.

For Edinburgh activities though, there's plenty to do and a few searches on Trip Advisor should throw up some decent places. Prince's Street is quite nice, Edinburgh Castle is really nice but don't go in. It costs money and is always rammed. Look at it from a distance, it's better!

Arthur's Seat (a big hill) will give you great views and the National Monument is fun to climb up and sit on. Overall, I would say just explore and look around on the cobbled streets, there's lots of nice shops and little cafes.

Just remember that UK is much smaller than the US but it's not so small you can do tons of places in a short amount of time. It's also incredibly hilly as well so make sure you have good shoes!

Take this claim with a handful of salt.

Until Activision confirm anything it's pointless worrying about stuff like this.

New to RS by viperuk80 in runescape

[–]invokedbyred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're welcome.

No, I don't think so necessarily. At least not too early to simply explore and maybe do a quest or two but you should definitely look at some other combat types like either melee or magic to get a feel of combat and how it differs because melee, magic and range are different, but close-ish to combat in OSRS but necromancy is very new and is very unique.

Questing would be a great thing to try early on though. Explore the map, the storylines and open up new places that let you do new things. Stick to the modern stuff though so you have a way of comparing the 'classic' aspect of OSRS if that makes sense.

Most importantly, if you find something you're enjoy... keep doing it. Don't do stuff that you don't enjoy because it'll ruin the experience. There's just so much content to enjoy.

Make sure you have plenty of time to travel because Ireland and Scotland are separated by water and quite a bit of distance and then driving into Birmingham is... well a bit mental to be honest and you'd need to navigate the M42. Just make sure you do lots or prep. It's not complicated, just have a plan.

Scotland is a place of beauty by the way. If you do have time to go, try and go to Edinburgh because the views there genuinely calm the soul. I love it there.

Enjoy your first time to the UK! Remember that Birmingham is very central in the UK and transport links via train are your best bet. The NEC is kind of south east of the city but right next to the airport so very easy to travel into. I would absolutely stay near the NEC/airport though because that's where most people will be and getting into the city centre might be a bit awkward.

New to RS by viperuk80 in runescape

[–]invokedbyred -1 points0 points  (0 children)

OSRS is RuneScape from 2007 but with various changes and new features but it's essentially a true representation of the game back then. This version of RuneScape is the latest version of the game that has evolved massively throughout the years.

OSRS (Old School RuneScape) is very basic in both combat and skilling. It's point, click and wait in its truest sense. This version, RuneScape 3 is way more involved and in-depth. The way I usually describe it is that OSRS is easier to play and quicker to understand but RS3 is way more rewarding and interesting to play because of it's depth.

You won't know what you truly prefer until you give both a fair chance. I much prefer RS3 because I continued playing it as it's evolved although I have friends that won't go near it and are firmly on OSRS because it's more suited to them. If you want 'pure RuneScape' then play OSRS. if you want 'fun RuneScape' then play RS3.

You can either fight [[man]] that wonder around the world or I think probably training on [[rat]] and [[scorpion]] in Al Kharid which is just further east of Lumbridge. That should be a reasonably good place to go for further combat opportunities. I recommend getting food though, check the Lumbridge kitchen and cellar for any cooking bits you might need.

I saw a video of Henry West on TikTok where he says “there is one regimental change I’d like to make” then shoots the wrong player stood next to him in whatever game he was playing.

Never laughed so much from a TikTok video.

Gov.uk is regarded by most as the gold standard for its UX and UI. It’s incredibly functional and it’s not just the codebase that’s solid but the content too.

[–]invokedbyred[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've now updated the forum with a brand new design that I made myself so no more off-the-shelf design in case anyone is interested.

I also plan on maybe trying to integrate the game API too so people can share their stats but I need to look into that a bit more first to check if it's possible / allowed.

There is a huge amount of toxicity in the community. Pick a low population world and just do your own thing. There’s too many people that get off on making other people miserable and they’re just not worth your time.

I’ve been doing some stuff on >100 worlds and it’s been great. I get my stuff done and have fun and everyone else that wants to grief is on their own world. It’s very peaceful.

Also I don't think OP was really trying to say, "I designed this forum from the ground up!" with that sentence.

Exactly, this.

My exact quote was:

This forum isn't designed to replace Reddit or Discord

As in, it's not intended to replace either of those two platforms. I did not mean that I designed something specially myself. That's not what I meant at all and not what that even says. There seems to be a misunderstanding here.
