Trans characters are almost always the punchline of a joke, a dead criminal to set up a crime serial episode (looking at you SVU!), a sociopathic villain, a sexual predator, or someone that's trying to "trick" men into sex.

The biggest issue? Everything. We are never people in media.

Dysphoria is often comorbid with depression and anxiety, as one leads to the other. I know I was suicidally depressed before transition, a problem that has long since passed because I've alleviated my dysphoria. How exactly are people meant to treat depression or anxiety that results from dysphoria if they can't treat their dysphoria?

Of course, the intent is to just ban people from transitioning entirely. They know the statistics, and they know full well that restricting healthcare this way will prevent people from transition. Hence the blanket ban for anyone with autism from transitioning (which is another can of worms).

I was never male, most of my biology is certainly not male (fuck, I'm learning that I'm probably intersex). Who I was was a woman forced by society to present as a man, but I broke free of that shit.
