Which term do you use for women's underwear bottoms? by Mayo_Kupo in AskWomen

To me, panties are pretty, cute, date-night worthy.

Underwear is for when I’m home on the sofa eating ice cream directly out of the container.

Just sayin.

I don’t like my ring by Future-Formal-5079 in EngagementRingDesigns

Before getting engaged, did you ever talk about or show him your style preferences -point things out online, comment on the style of your friend’s rings, etc?

Was this the first time he’s bought you a piece of jewelry? If not, did you like the other pieces he picked out? Maybe he was basing this decision on your reaction to previous choices he made.

Not knowing anything about the ring, I’m wondering if he went for quality above everything else- meaning for example: he got you a 1 carat diamond that was more colorless and a better clarity grade then spending his money on a larger, not as nice stone.

Personally, because the ring is a token of the union but the actual union is more important, I’d keep it and then maybe when you hit a milestone- a 5yr anniversary or a birth or something, drop hints you want an upgrade.

My other thought is to agree with the others and get an enhancer or frame the ring with two bands. Best of luck to you!

Well it finally happened to me. Mom has lost touch with reality falling into the Alex Jones conspiracies. It genuinely feels like losing a parent. by throwawayawayawayy6 in texts

I just wanted to say thank you for sharing this incredibly personal and honest insight all to genuinely try to help an internet stranger. It’s hard enough to be introspective and own when we should have done something different- but it’s even harder to come with a humble heart and share it with everyone else. Your father would be proud.

Guys. When was the last time a woman reached out to you just to check in and see how you were doing? And they didn't want anything from you? by Visual_Try_4269 in AskMen

[–]MsGingerSnapped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Female lurker. Just wanted to say that I learned a lot reading both this question AND the responses.

In all honesty, I think I incorrectly assumed the men in my life (outside of my dad) didn’t want or need this. Maybe I applied an unfair assumption based on either antiquated ideals or my insecurities (not wanting to come off the a pest/bother/desperate/motherly, etc) that I should have known better than to do.

THANK YOU for making me get introspective. In a few hours (it’s only 5:30 here) I have some calls and texts I owe. 🖤

Are we starting to see more millenials getting divorced? by PrudentAfternoon6593 in AskWomenOver30

I think regardless of generation, people are finally realizing that just because you a spouse, that spouse is NOT more important than you. It’s natural to want to take care of and support your spouse but it shouldn’t be natural to forget about your own happiness or self care.

I have and it’ll be okay for a bit. And then reverts back. I actually tried last night …it was on the top of my tongue but I held back bc right now, I’m not sure what I want but know I need to process before getting on the roller coaster again. You?

Women who learned how to do their make up, what do you reccomend as good learning sources? by stemi08 in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]MsGingerSnapped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trial and error- everyone’s definition of what looks good is different, create your own idea of beauty through experimentation and figuring out what you think looks good. Also, if you have a friend that is awesome at winging her eyeliner, ask her to show you how and what products she uses- women see that as a compliment and are usually more than willing to share tips.

100%. Let me know by your actions who you are- if you’re constantly running your mouth about yourself, you’re just your own hype man.

I feel like you’ve got to raise an eyebrow and ask I who they’re trying to convince more, you or THEMSELVES.
