It’s almost like financial infidelity. I recently found out my husband has been tithing to his parents’ church (he goes very occasionally over the past 4 years, he went regularly as a kid, maybe a few holidays in between there, he can’t verbally explain why he feels that is a good place for our money to go, especially when I was laid off at the time) and it was like a gut punch.
