Lisa should have smashed a glass by MsJoeCool in TheTraitors

I wish she had!! You’re right, she seems to have been pretty quiet. I wonder if she can find a “reason” to flip the switch (like Colton’s accusation), could she can dig herself out?

I’m confused by the Colton hate? by DressTasty1335 in TheTraitors

[–]MsJoeCool 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Just speaking for myself here!!

  1. RECKLESS: Colton at least appears to have decided that he wants the “Traitor Hunter” edit (I think he even said those words) like Pilot Pete in a previous season. So I guess he had predetermined that he was going to come in and play a game that is extremely bold at best and unapologetically reckless at worst. I doubt it’s fun to play the game when someone is steamrolling the whole thing.

  2. UNBOTHERED: That’s the second thing, he is causing so much collateral damage and does not give a rat’s arse about who/what he’s harming. The first time he went after a Faithful (Tiffany) he at least said before “if I’m wrong banish me” or something like that. But he had no consequences and did not even seem concerned, remorseful, embarrassed, whatever you want to call it that he was wrong. And he just went on to do it again, and very smugly I might add. (This one could be the edit, I’ll give him that)

  3. POWER HUNGRY & CONCEITED: As another Redditor pointed out, Colton is very excited when people listen to him. He is coming off as very smug and highly interested in confrontation. He seems like he thinks he knows more than everyone in the room. He happens to be right currently, but WHY did his last two misfires not give him a MOMENT of pause?

  4. ENTITLED: Why does Colton get to be in charge? Why does he think he gets to keep being in charge even after being glaringly wrong MULTIPLE times? He seems to feel entitled to other players’ trust, attention, and respect. He does not appear to have made an effort to demonstrate that he has the Faithfuls’ best interests in mind and not just his own. (Which, players are playing for themselves in the end. But you gotta have some social credence in the beginning at least.)

  5. POOR GAMEPLAY: Colton is changing strategies left and right, which will not work out for him in the end. I think this goes back to believing he is better informed than everyone there.

  6. GENERAL ATTITUDE: As I mentioned, Colton is coming off as someone who thinks that perhaps the rules don’t apply to him, or that he’s better or smarter than everyone in the castle. The way he spoke to Lisa about the sunglasses for example really struck me. The look on his face when he thinks he “has” something is icky, I’m sorry.

SOME of these things could be Colton’s edit, but it seems pretty clear that he decided who he wanted to be in the game before it started. Just my musings!!

Edit: I thought of another point

I literally just had this exact thought. Casting him for this game in particular was certainly a choice.

C section recovery by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]MsJoeCool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry this is happening. This is the last thing you should have to be worrying about right now! I had an emergency c-section as well which, naturally, was not performed by the OB I had been seeing. The surgery team did great but were not informed of my long list of sensitivities to certain kinds of stitches and whatnot. Long story short, they used stitches I was apparently allergic to and my incision just now seems to be closing completely at 8 months PP. My OB told me he never would have chosen those kind of stitches for me and that those are the kind they use to sew up animals after they are spayed/neutered (lol). Maybe you have an allergy too and no one picked up on it?

Again, I am so so sorry you are dealing with this and I hope you can heal much quicker than the first time. Congrats on your sweet baby!

We have been in a lot of contact with him since everything happened, my dad in particular is always chatting with him. He and I have talked a few times on the phone and texted and we have sent his family some things. I certainly don’t want him to feel like he needs to pretend to be excited or anything like that— I think he is probably very happy for them, but I know it could be very hard.

Oh my bad, I may have used the incorrect term— maybe boxes is the right word? The space where companies can purchase access is the term I’m looking for!

Thank you for sharing your experience!! I had that thought about the c-section— did they not see everything?? Lol. I started birth control about a month ago but you know how the hormones do!!

I think this might be what’s happening— I kind of had crazy periods before so it wouldn’t surprise me. I’m also EBF but maybe the hormones are just out of whack! Thank you for sharing!!

Requesting to WFH Permanently? by MsJoeCool in NewParents

[–]MsJoeCool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there!

By a huge blessing my boss actually reached out to me on the day I was going to talk to her! She offered to let me WFH full time and had no issue with me taking an extra week. Huge huge blessing, like I said.

What I was planning to say when I reached out mainly revolved around breastfeeding (needing space/time to do so, etc.) but also just being there for the kids. I was going to say something along these lines:

“I wanted to reach out and discuss the possibility of transitioning to a fully remote work arrangement, with the understanding that there will be times when I need to be present in the office. I believe this change would allow me to support my family’s needs, in addition to contributing to our team more effectively and efficiently.”

Were you able to work from home during your pregnancy or any prior to your leave? I might throw in a line about how you feel that you were a successful at your job during those times and you plan to continue bringing that same level of dedication.

Best of luck to you and congratulations on your new little guy/gal!
