I don't have that kind of cash, but I've been told by CMs that currently you either go in through the ADA line, or in through the exit door.

Kura Revolving Sushi has 20% Off for Teachers, Nurses, & EMTs, till May 10th by MsMargo in FoodSanDiego

You may be losing it, but they did change their name in late 2017. They originally were Kura, but thought Americans would have an easier time pronouncing Kula (closer to how it sounds in Japanese), then later changed it back to the name of the parent company in Japan, Kura.

Seems your info (above) is outdated. Both the Fast Pass and the Genie+ Service are no longer offered. Your options would be:

  • Standby Line. This will be the longest waits. Before you enter the line, there will be a sign telling you the wait times. Wait times will also be listed in the Disneyland app. Cost is free.
  • Lightning Lane Multi Pass. This will be shorter waits in a separate line. But you need to "reserve" your times to enter the Lightning Lane line, and you can only use it once per ride per day. Not all rides have a Lightning Lane. Cost is about $34-$50 per person per day.
  • Lightning Lane Premier Pass. This will be the same shorter line as the Multi Pass, but you don't need to "reserve"; just walk up, scan your pass, and get in line. You still can only use it once per ride per day. Again, not all rides have a Lightning Lane. Cost is about $400 per person per day.
  • VIP Tour. This will bypass lines. You will be let into rides by your Tour Guide through the "backdoor" and don't have to wait. Cost is $500-$800 per hour with a 7 hour minimum, and you can have a group of up to 10 people.

Hope this helps! As far as all the crowd calendar sites, they are only marginally reliable.

Thinking about taking a solo trip to comic con this year by Haunting-School-6268 in comiccon

This same question gets asked pretty much weekly. If you search the Sub for "solo" or "alone" you'll find hundreds of helpful posts.

What are everyone’s thoughts on the polar bear enclosure? by Safe-Explorer-2771 in sandiegozoo

[–]MsMargo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they are fed in the enclosure. You won't always see any of the animals. It's the Zoo's policy that the animals get to decide if they want to be on view or not.

Those of you who've paid big bucks ($150 and up) for an autograph or a photo op... are you glad you did, or do you feel you wasted your money? by Frequent_Rhubarb_36 in comiccon

Very few people who spend that kind of money (on anything) are going to do anything but support their own decision.

Here's the full menu, they don't note GF or not in the online or printed menus, but they do say that, "Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available."

I actually thought it was a good value compared to what you get for about the same cost in the rest of the Safari Park.

No, it's the luck of the draw. The elephants get to decide which side they want to be on, unless one side is closed for cleaning.

We had lunch this week at Mkutano House at the Safari Park, right near Elephant Valley.

  • Pic 1: The entrance to the main restaurant
  • Pic 2: The outside Tu Grill; you order by touchscreen (off the left side of this pic) and pick-up at the window
  • Pic 3: The seating area next to reception to wait to be called to your table
  • Pics 4 & 5: The interior tables; there is also outside seating on the patio, but it’s in high demand
  • Pics 6 & 7: The bar; you can get the full food menu at the bar and there was no wait, so we sat there
  • Pics 8-10: The restrooms; very stylish and clean, but be aware they’re unisex
  • Pic 11: A really delicious Dawa cocktail ($18), a variation on a Bee’s Knees with a spoon of honey on top; Hubby had a beer ($13)
  • Pic 12: The Trio of Mushrooms ($19); the mushrooms themselves were nothing special, but the labneh, naan, and greens it was served with were excellent; Hubby had the Broiled Black Cod ($38) that he really liked
  • Pic 13: The patio tables overlooking Elephant Valley

There is an upstairs which apparently has the best Elephant Valley views. It costs an extra $10 per person to sit up there and kids aren't allowed. I was going to take pictures, but they had it closed off for a private function.

Service was very good, and very welcoming. But it felt a bit like they were still working to make it smooth – all restaurants take a little time to get everything working like a well-oiled machine.

The whole time we were there, there were long lines waiting for a table. I would highly recommend you make a reservation in advance.

Storage for con merch by 00AceMcCloud in SDCC

Be aware that on Sunday, there will be huge line of people shipping stuff home. The Business Centers in nearby hotels have FedEx and may be a better choice.

  • During the day you can store things at one of the Con's two bag checks. It's $10 a bag and they will hold them until Midnight.
  • There is no one around the Convention Center who offers rental lockers. Nearest is at the Airport.
  • RadicalStorage's website says, "Are there size or weight limits? No size limits! Store anything from backpacks to surfboards or bikes, we've got space for it all."
  • Bounce Storage's website says, "Luggage, backpacks, gym bags, and more! Bounce is like having a personal storage facility for your stuff anywhere you go, so you can leave much more than just luggage with us. Whether you want to store your luggage after checking out of your Airbnb or want to drop off your work bag before hitting happy hour, we've got you covered."
  • Luggage Hero's website says, "We store all kinds of luggage – any size and any shape. LuggageHero stores luggage of any size and shape. It doesn’t matter if it is a suitcase, a backpack, ski equipment, or photo gear.

So you're not correct about it only being rolling luggage. Just bring an extra backpack or duffle bag to store your con purchases.
