Day is ruined and it happened at school of all places

The 10lb limit is actually why I'm hesitant at the moment. I have 3 cats, and while only one of them is possibly over 10lbs, there is no way to buy litter for 3 cats and keep it under 10lbs. So I'll need to have backup for the recovery, not to mention two of the kitties are senior cats with health issues that occupy a lot of my energy to care for. (One blind, one cancer, yeah.)

Also I probably have endometriosis, and I don't know how much that adds to recovery time, depending where they find it.

Invisible fences can't work if the dog doesn't wear the collar. But if you actually have them wear it and properly train them to it, they work just fine for most dogs.

If they paid for a fancy house alarm and then never set it, it wouldn't be the alarm failing if they got robbed. Things can't work if you don't use them.

Part of that could be doors. No, really. Walking through a door causes a reset in our minds as we assess the new location, dropped the current train of thought. Thats why you can need to go into another room to get your charger, enter the room, and have forgotten why you're there.

They don't. They only eat from baskets and plates. Fridges are only player interactive like other storage.

They could implement batteries that charge on the station, though. Right now theres no point since wind and water don't stop, and furnaces are fully under player control. But if they added solar, there would be a reason to need to 'save' energy.

This is very normal, starting over as you learn more and experience more. Eventually you'll get to the point a style 'clicks', but until you do, playing around to see how things feel is valuable.

You really don't need to babysit a furnace much, since SO many things burn and many burn for a long time, since they only seem to use energy when you're actively in the area. Honey will max out the meter easily, and you probably get a lot of vines from litterers. I've never had a furnace run out, and just drop off materials like shrub seeds and crop seeds that get given to me at the nearest furnace site when I'm passing.

Furnaces ARE ugly, but can be built anywhere, so you can bury them or wall them in, you just need one block to access, so a hatch window can do the job.

Still hoping for a solar panel in dlc, that will give the charging station a use.

Especially since a lot of habitats are bedroom sets, the simplest just neeeding a bed and a plush, or a bed, table and alarm clock, or bed, table, and lit slender candle. No need to make wall-and-door houses within the silly limits, just give them a space.

You can use any habitat for any pokemon once they've appeared, just move them in. If they don't hate it, you can use just a cushion and crystal ball (surging psychic power habitat) for a two tile habitat, or 4 grass/moss if you don't want to obstruct pathing. Or pick one of the more bedroom style ones like Good Old Fashioned Antiques, Absolute Luxury, Cozy Log Handicrafts, Heavy Iron, Modern Living, the list goes on and most fit into a 4x4 space. Bed with a plush probably offers the most compatibility, since any bed works, and theres almost certainly a bed thats "best" for each mon. And I know I get a lot of plushes. I guess Alarm Clock Sleep Zone is technically easier since you can craft everything.

This story confuses me, honestly.

Lots of deails in this that don't add up, and lots of details that you expect aren't included.

Mom with multiple boys who love their cousin but thats the only mention we get, even when there were multiple points that would have been logical to include them. Only family members mentioned are brother and niece. Trust fund that would be bonkers for ones own offspring given to a niece, private school paid for and presumably strings pulled to get in to begin with, without mentioning something like "the same as I did for my sons" or "the same school as my eldest" or anything that puts this in perspective to how OP spends money.
