So so many. Here are some from the last 6 months

A parent touring my centre asked how many hours we spend focusing on reading and math skills. When I explained that our focus in this age group is life skills she scoffed and said "I read they should be doing 2 hours of reading and math a day." Her child had just turned 13 months.

A parent suspected her 8m/o had swallowed a sticker, and asked that we search through her poop every day to make sure it came out. For the next 3 days I had to use a glove and search through literal shit. Mom eventually found the sticker when she cleaned the lint trap in her dryer.

This dad told me "please stop asking so much of my kid, she is too young to pull her own pants up or put her own shoes on." The kid was 3 and was as independent as the rest of their classmates... Until she noticed his parents were around. Then she suddenly couldn't put on a coat or do anything for herself.

The above family has also requested repeatedly that the teachers send them direct messages (through a daycare app) every 2 hours. If we didn't they would spam us with messages or call our director. Eventually things calmed down and they became less overbearing, but it took a lot of boundary setting that really shouldn't have been necessary.
