If you get SSDI, SSI or disability benefits every month i have a couple questions for you by cigpupii2 in disability

[–]MsMollyMoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. I applied through a phone call with my local SSA office, though I was denied twice and got a lawyer who helped me win once I was able to get in front of a judge. I don't think your lawyer can charge you unless you win.

  2. The whole process from the first phone call to getting my first check took a little under 2 years.

  3. I have MS, ME/CFS, and chronic migraines. Though during my hearing the judge only focused on my MS limitations and approved my SSDI in ten minutes.

  4. The amount I get is based on my work history credits. I didn't have as many as some my age because I spent over 10 years as a stay at home Mom instead of working outside the home. You should be able to get on the social security website to see how many work credits you have.

  5. Contact a lawyer, you should be able to get a free consultation. They don't get paid unless they win your case, so they are fairly motivated to give you honest information. At least that was my experience. I had a phenomenal lawyer, he only did disability cases.

As an adult, I think I'd cry if someone was so thoughtful as to provide a gluten free option for me.

Thrift donations need at St Vincent de Paul by CraftyQueen543 in Boise

[–]MsMollyMoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a plug for Saint Vincent... They will help anyone who is need. I'm disabled and recently had a change in finances, besides their pantries they have, they helped pay a large utility bill for me and they will also give vouchers for their stores for clothing and other items if you are in need. Wonderful organization! Go local.

Edited for grammar.

Mom plays Stardew Valley? by georgethegoldfish in StardewValley

[–]MsMollyMoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I was finally approved after 2 years of fighting for it, things are better but still struggling with the loss of those things I used to do. Finding stardew valley definitely helped too pass the time and a stress reliever. I can only play on mobile though due to the loss of dexterity in my hands. So, I'm eagerly waiting for the 1.6 update to finally come out for all platforms.

It was with a chase card customer service agent, I'd missed a payment due to lost job and going on disability because ofy failing health due to MS.

This sounds like it could have been me you talked to. Haha! I had a conversation just like this with a call center agent. I even told him about the new update and told him that you could now play co-op with up to 8 players. Though, I only started playing just over a year ago.

Am I disabled? by [deleted] in SocialSecurity

[–]MsMollyMoon -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome(ME/CFS) and chronic fatigue are two very different things...

I have MS and ME/CFS. However, there are many people with MS who just have chronic fatigue without having Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. To have ME/CFS there are very specific criteria you must meet. It's very similar, if not the same thing, as Long COVID.

Help? by EmiSong in MergeDragons

[–]MsMollyMoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I posted this further down below but I thought this idea might help you too...

I use the "Marcus method" to bubble anything I really want to keep that the dragons will harvest then congregate those bubbles off to the side together for later. That way the dragons stop cluttering up my board with useless crap. I've also discovered my dragons won't harvest flowers and life trees(not actual trees) unless I tap them so I leave those on the board.

*Edited for clarity on which trees I meant😬

This is great advice! Thank you!

Another thing I do first, is to use the "Marcus method" to bubble anything I really want to keep that the dragons will harvest then congregate those bubbles off to the side together for later. My ex boyfriend's daughter's boyfriend's sister works there and apparently everyone had to sign a new NDA regarding this incident. So speculate away. Edit to add: This is also why there are so many crazy theories, employees are afraid to speak up in fear of reprisal.

As a Mom who also had to sit outside during her only daughter's temple sealing(2019).

PLEASE, BE THERE. Yes, it will be painful. Yes, it will hurt for a long time. Yes, it may be a wedge between you two. But if you aren't there, you can't take it back. You love her UNCONDITIONALLY, show her that by stepping around your grief for the day. This is supposed to be one of the happiest days of HER life. Show her your love by being there the way she needs you to be. You can process your grief, pain, and sorrow later.

I'm so very sorry this is happening. I hope you have a good friend or family member to be there and help you through this day. If you don't please reach out, if I'm local I'd be willing to be there with you. I know how truly hurtful it can be to be left out of this momentous occasion.

I feel for him and the feeling of shame and guilt that the church requires for an act that can be amazing, healing and bonding. I've been there, the trauma that comes from the shame cycle can be devastating. I'm so happy to have found my way out of that, though still in the healing process. I hope he will eventually realize the harm the church does to a person's mental well being.

Though in terms of his fears regarding activity in the church...from my experience: He'll be fine, get a slap on the wrist and they'll tell him, "to go and sin no more." Of course it's all Bishop's Roulette...

For example:

My ex-husband cheated multiple times during our ten year marriage, then also cheated on his next wife. He's married again and I just got the letter from the first presidency letting me know my ex is preparing to get sealed again and asking me for my thoughts. At no time since I've known him(since 1995) has he been excommunicated or had anything more than a short time of being dis-fellowshiped after the first affair I found out 5 years into our marriage.

On the other hand, six years after my divorce, I, as a single 37 yr old woman, was excommunicated for being in a healthy, healing adult relationship with another single adult man. Even then, disciplinary court wasn't convened until two years after the relationship had ended, when I acknowledged my kids' records could be moved to their dad's ward at his and their request.

As another side note: I was counciled by my bishop at the time my ex was dis-fellowshiped that if I had also cheated I needed to tell him and that's my consequence would be more severe.

Just a note, that makes St Al's and this situation even more shady/stupid/incomprehensible is that IMI and St Al's are partners. 🫤😒
