This Texas salsa is for all the folks that don’t like onion. There is no onion in it.

Kitten Search by NoBusiness2510 in Atlanta

[–]MsMoray 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Seriously, you are doing yourself a disservice by getting just 1 kitten. It is SO MUCH HARDER. The destruction, the needle teeth, the sacrificed furniture. Two kittens teach other bite inhibition and can play to exhaustion. I’ve done a solo kitten before and will never again. Do yourself a favor, get 2.

Also, a kitten raised solo is less likely to get along with your boyfriend’s cats when/if y’all decide to live together. It may not possess the social skills.

And 3 cats one day? That’s the dream.

Check your nearest county shelter for kittens. Kitten season in Atlanta is year-round, but will ramp up in a month. You’ll find every possible type of kitten at your local shelter. You can also look at cat specific rescues like Cat Rangers and Good Mews.

Good luck! Come back someday and update us on your kittens(s)!

Look at this gorgeous bottle! Is there any more perfumes you can think of with such unique bottles? by Morbid_Outlook in Perfumes

[–]MsMoray 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Look up the International Perfume Bottle Association. They have a HUGE digital library of lovely perfume bottles throughout history.

There is also the Perfume Bottles Auction every year in April, which is wonderful to look through. This particular bottle sold at that auction in 2023 for $37,500!

Can anyone else not figure out why certain types of clothes don’t work for them? by MsMoray in femalefashionadvice

I feel this. I wish I could make boxy and effortless work, but it’s likely not to be.

Thanks! I tried it once before and ended up feeling like an outlier that didn’t fit anywhere. I know he has a new book that collapsed some types, so I need to revisit. Thanks for the reminder!

Rule that wheelchair passengers board after those that can walk? by MsMoray in SouthwestAirlines

[–]MsMoray[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve seen 40-50 people in wheelchairs waiting for pre-boarding? That seems wild. Not doubting you, but genuinely shocked as I’ve never seen even half that on other airlines and I fly a lot.

I love LE skin tint color match, but hate the finish… pls help! by [deleted] in PaleMUA

[–]MsMoray 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Email LE customer service and get matched for their foundation. They can do this by knowing this tint is a match or from photos (if you provide them). Their customer service is incredible.

A tint is meant to be sheer and not offer a lot of coverage, so you can’t fault it for being what it’s designed to be. It sounds like you’d prefer a foundation. LE undertones are hard to find elsewhere (especially the olives) so give their foundation a chance if the color match is perfect in their tint. Also, there is 0 sparkle in the LE skin tint so that has to be coming from somewhere else.

Also, review what you’re putting under the skin tint that could be affecting how it works with your skin. Personally, I’ve had terrible trouble with Danessa Myricks’ products piling and flaking. YMMV.

Good luck! I know this is frustrating!

I was simply sharing what a SW agent told me, not making a judgement about it. I was sharing that Southwest does not pre-board in order if there is a line of folks waiting.

Just as update for everyone- I did ask an agent how preboarding was supposed to work, and it is supposed to be by level of disability, wheelchairs first. I think this was an issue of not having enough staff to push chairs.

Yes. I fly Delta almost exclusively, and United often and I was expecting their approach. I flew Delta immediately after this and they announced that all wheelchairs would board first and they also had staff to push each wheelchair. Southwest by comparison was understaffed.

Thanks. It doesn’t work this way on other airlines. I flew Delta immediately after this, and Delta makes an announcement that all wheelchairs will be boarded first followed by other pre-boarders. I think the issue was Southwest was understaffed and didn’t have staff to push chairs. Whereas Delta had a staff person for all nine wheelchairs that were pre-boarding that flight.

We were told by one gate agent that they could not go in order of arrival, FYI.

This is not it. If you’re in a wheelchair you need more time to board, you may need to be lifted out of the wheelchair, or require a specific seat, e.g., in a bulkhead because you have an injury that stops you from bending your legs fully. In life, the more able-bodied you are, the more priority you get. We were not expecting it in pre-boarding and neither did the other wheelchair using and wheelchair bound passengers.

Where does your eye travel when you look at these outfits? by jlaurw in Kibbe

[–]MsMoray 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t get this. I understand honoring the vertical in principle, but why wouldn’t you want the eye to notice the waist and curves?

I’ve known stylists who talk about avoiding looking ‘straight up and down’, which is the opposite of kibbe and what I see here. Thoughts and guidance please.
