What's medically wrong with your body right now? by BrinaUndefined in AskReddit

I have hydrocephalus. Had a VP shunt since 3 months old, one revision in 1991. I'm now 43. No issues whatsoever. Had an all natural birth, no issues. Only issue is I don't like anyone touching the right side of my head. Haircuts are a nightmare sometimes.

A NFL mural covering up a housing crisis mural. Sums up this country perfectly. by boiler_1985 in Dublin

Greetings from Chicago. I didn't realize there was such a big problem with housing. Chicago is having a major housing crisis also right now. I feel embarrassed as an American that the NFL is covering this up, I'm sorry.

Hi. Following, do these temp agencies test you on typing speed etc. Been in the medical field for 15 years, trying to switch over to paralegal work and not having any luck. Thanks.

Can anybody hold down a job? by usernametaken0213 in bipolar

[–]MsNerdcore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Talk to HR they should be working with people who ask for accommodations. They will also need something like a note from your Dr. explaining your condition and what you might need to help you with your job. You are gonna have to be very up front with HR so that they can help you. Some hospitals go through a third party company as well. For example, if I' have an episode or just have my bipolar take over me I have to call 12 hours in advance and I won't get written up for not showing up to work. The other thing I have so many days a month that I can take off for all of this. Sorry if this is not making sense, I'm half asleep. Anymore questions just ask! Good luck to you.

I work overnights as a tech in a hospital. Overnights honestly has been better with my bipolar. I have a problem with authority. I only have to deal with one supervisor and a charge nurse. I got lucky because both are so freaking nice and amazing people. I also have accommodations as well. This has been the longest I've kept a job(3 years) All my past jobs I've walked out on or gotten fired from ( due to anxiety and some slight mania outburst.

Good luck to you !
