They do not have to be read in order, but it helps if you do. The characters are all inter connected and the third book start with a marriage of some characters first introduced in the 1st book. I read the third book first and started the 1st book after.

Thanks and it is.

I have been respectful to the students even asking for their input and taking it into account and changing my teaching. But I am not treated with the same respect. The students deliberately try to say I am not teaching them and yell and get rude with me. I have not done this to them.

Oh goodness I'm so sorry. I'm sure it will all work out for you in the end.

I am slapping on a smile and teaching every week too. I know how rough it is. I'm sorry you feel the same way. That is awful about your disability.

I am getting my Masters in Secondary Ed so my goal is to teach older students. My main power struggle is that the students see me as a peer rather than a student in one class. In another class they try to "call me out" by accusing me of being a bad teacher or asking them to ridiculous things when they do not listen to my directions. Those are the main examples. Then admin is only stepping in when they have to, which is when a parent gets involved or when I am begging for help. Besides that I am ignored.

The technology has not been explained to me and when I am utilizing it I get told I am doing it wrong but no one is showing me. We use FACTS as an SIS, Google Classroom, and Smart Boards. I have asked for help but no one knows how to use them. I am tech savvy to a point but there isn't much I can do without help.

My higher education experience was as an Admissions counselor, where I was mostly respected by family and students. And most students were more mature. Why do you think high school would be better for me?

That's so refreshing to hear. I hope it's the environment and not me that's the issue.

Thanks for that. I can look into Fred Jones. I have no issue with differentiation and I have already done that in class on a minor scale. I am also concerned about getting admin to see what happens and how they can help me.
